Nuts place Bar & Restaurant — Restaurant in Chiang Mai Province

The bar as such is OK; we were there as a family and since one of the pool tables was empty, we tried it out with our sons. Of course, we are anything but professionals and therefore perhaps wrong in the context of this bar: however, the fact that we came up with the stupid excuse that "billiards are forbidden for minors in Thailand" while the owner's 13-year-old nephew was playing at the second table was quite astonishing: unfortunately, there is only one star for such a lack of honesty or at least creativity in finding excuses. Beautiful place at a quiet and nice spot. Again one of the places sadly, I haven’t discovered earlier. They have all kind of hard liquors, beer, wine and some cocktails. There are two good pool tables where time to time some good players have competition. Btw, there is a competition today at 8pm. It’s a family owned/operated place. The owners are friendly people. So happy to have stumbled upon this bar on our first night in Chiang Mai. The lady owner is the total professional landlady. She is so friendly to chat with and you can see she is passionate about her business. The bar is definitely a pool players dream but for us non pool players the atmosphere is relaxing and comfortable. Time whizzes by when you are enjoying yourself and we lost plenty of hours here.
