O'Malley's Irish pub is hands down the best bar I've been to in Thailand so far. You can get Guinness on draft, or if you're a cheapskate like me you can order a big Chang bottle and a big side of ice for 95 baht. The inside is air conditioned and it feels like a true Irish pub. Spotlessly clean, even the bathroom with soap and paper towels, and the bathroom smells clean. You can sit outside and watch the market action too. Probably the best thing about O'Malley's is the menu, and the food. I've ordered the deluxe burger twice, which is 200 g of beef and it tastes like fantastic beef. It comes on a bakery giant hamburger bun that tastes like a real bun should taste! It's topped with clean lettuce, the reddest, juiciest tomatoes I've ever seen, and you can add cheese or bacon. It also comes with fantastic french fries and real onion rings. When I eat there I feel like I'm back in America. Scott owns the place, and he's Canadian. At the time I was there, which was election day 2020, that hamburger platter only cost 200 baht, which is a fantastic deal. He also has Philly cheese steak sandwiches, lasagna, chili con carne, and many other things. I am a very picky eater and this place I go to every day now, because it opens at 3:00 p.m. and it's in a...

The menu is packed with Irish comfort food that hits all the right notes. I tried the classic fish and chips, which were wonderfully crispy and served with a side of tangy tartar sauce. The Irish stew was another highlight—rich, hearty, and packed with flavor. It’s clear that the kitchen is dedicated to providing an authentic taste of Ireland.
To wash it all down, the drink selection is impressive, featuring everything from local craft beers to a solid lineup of Irish whiskeys. The bartenders are knowledgeable and eager to help you find the perfect drink to complement your meal.

Read moreAs an Irish person: Bar: 1/5 The bar appears more of an American Sports Bar themed in a "stereopytical" Irish decour. As soon as we walked in, we we're met with a strong musty and damp smell. Furniture looked dull and outdated.
Culture: 1/5 When asked about whether the Gaelic (Ulster Final 2022) was available on the TVs, the owner responded questionably & stated that it was too difficult to have Irish football. While we proceeded to actually play the commentary via BBC NI Sport, the TVs we're plasterer with US NBA & F1.
Guinness: 1/5 With expectations being fairly low, we requested a Guinness which was available on draught. Tbf to the waitresses (see next part), the Guinness was poured in a fairly solid manner with appropriate glass, methodology & patience. However the actual contents of the glass found itself very lacking. The vinegary taste deriving from the stout pointed to lack of appropriate storage and cycling. Likely that it has been sitting stale in the keg for quite some time which allowed bacteria and oxygen the alcohol to be converted to literal vinegar.
Staff: 4/5 Waitering staff were very nice & accommodating. Presumed owner (an American man) was unpleasant and...
