In the past, I would’ve given this restaurant a higher rating, but things have changed.
My go to dish has always been the chicken kebabs served with grilled tomatoes, a grilled chili pepper, sautéed onions, and a side salad of shredded lettuce and tomatoes. It was a very good combination of flavors and textures.
But on my most recent visit, I ordered the exact same thing, pointing to the item on the menu, but got something completely different. Gone were the grilled tomatoes and grilled chili pepper; gone were the sautéed onions; in their place was… More shredded lettuce.
When I called this to the attention of my server, her response was simply “sorry“. Because her English seemed weak I spoke to another server who said they had a new cook. Why would having a new cook change the restaurant’s usual recipe? When I asked the server what would I receive if I ordered the same dish tomorrow, as depicted on the menu or as I received on the day of my visit, she said she didn’t know.
If you’re gonna change the product, change the photo on the menu so people at least know what they’re going to get. Making unannounced substitutions is bad customer service. Call me...
Read moreI like this place and the food they served either dine in or delivery for the lamb kebab. This time we decided to try mix platter as we haven't eaten anything during the day. The food was indeed good and expected at this price. However, the reason why I am only setting 1 star for service is because of the cooker, who came out from his kitchen to serve us the plate, didn't know how to properly serve a customer. We already had some appetizer on the table and we needed to clear some space for the mix platter. While we were trying to make space, the cooker simply push the plate already on the table with the mix platter and as a result some piece of chicken chunk fell from the mix plate (you can see in the picture) . The cooker did not even care and not a single "I'm sorry", we don't even expect you to replace the food or anything else but the minimum is to say sorry!
I'm sorry for the other waiter (short guy and the lady) whom on the opposite side were very nice and friendly, but this kind of experience is not good.
If you don't know how to properly put a plate on a table then stay in...
Read moreThis restaurant is an absolute insult to halal and Turkish food. The lamb kebab wrap was probably one of the worst sandwiches I've had in my life. The meat was super chewy, almost like beef jerky. The meat tasted at least a week old. The falafel was small, hard, with hardly any seasoning. As far as the experience went , I'd say like a 4 out of 10. The waitress was attentive. I was expecting a great experience because of the location; but It was such a letdown; I couldn't in the right mental state of mind recommend this restaurant to anyome. I'm pretty open-minded when it comes to restaurants; but whatever these individuals are doing is nowhere close to Turkish or halal food. I could have made a better kebab wrap at home with some olive oil, paprika, and cumin powder. It lacked so much that I couldn't finish it. It was like 6 inches at most, but I couldn't do that to myself. Sorry guys ; please change the chef or find someone from instanbul to teach you how to make proper tasting...
