I went for a few drinks on my first evening, the beer was nice and cold so I ordered a Bacardi which was also nice. I thought I would go in again for another Bacardi and Diet Coke - the first one went down a treat so I thought I would indulge in another so I ordered another Bacardi as I had lots of coke left so it came with ice and I poured my coke in and took a nice sip. Lo and behold it tasted nothing like Bacardi and in fact didnât even taste like rum whatsoever, I asked the staff why it wasnât nice at first they blamed the ice (been drinking Bacardi since I was 20 and now 55) so I think I know my Bacardi by now. They poured me another and I had a good sniff and yet again it smelled of cheap booze - so refused the drink and refused to pay for the 2nd and 3rd drink as they were disgusting, I offered to pay for my first drink but the staff told me to not pay and leave - I said I would happily leave (this all happened in a very amicable manner with no fuss) so I went to the market to buy a beer elsewhere and the owner approached me raising his voice and swearing in the market opposite his establishment saying I refused to pay which I didnât but unfortunately his aggressive and obnoxious manner left me no choice but to stoop to his level and told him straight he was pouring non branded and cheap rum into his Bacardi bottles of course he denied it but at this point he decided to walk away trying to salvage some pride denying to other patrons in the bar area he would do such a thing. Conclusion- sell a cheaper white rum for customers who are on a tight budget but donât lie and fill branded Bacardi bottles with cheap nasty alcohol keep them separate on your shelf. As a Brit you should know us Brits arenât stupid when it comes to alcohol - I donât know Thai law if this allowed or not but in the UK itâs isnât permitted by law Thank you for your reply - I did offer to pay for my 1st drink but I was told âno pay leaveâ Iâm not going to cause a scene in your bar as someone who has been in the hospitality industry for 30 years I know what itâs like with complaints! So at no point was I rude to your staff and as for tampering with the bottles there is always a way and FYI your staff poured the Bacardi at the bar not in front of me and I wasnât given an adjusted bill at any time as I was asked to leave. At no point have I slandered your staff doing a difficult job. The comments are aimed at you as itâs your bar, your business and your responsibility for your actions! On a final note you came to me in the market raising your voice and posturing- you didnât scare me but next time learn all...
Read moreFood wise I would say is on par for this type of establishment I wouldn't recommend it though if you are accompanied by an Asian/Thai lady as the staff treated my wife of 2 years very disrespectfully and like I had just picked her from a bar ,and even if I had she would still be a paying customer and treated accordingly
Hi there thank you for your quick response I couldn't see how to respond so I'll answer like this, I attended last night around 8pm ,she first spoke to a thai Male I guess around 30ish who was talking our order she inquired about the salad and if it had onion in it as she doesn't like it she was told a salad is a salad and don't eat it if you don't like it your not paying and very bluntly, later she asked a shall I say plump lady where the bathroom is and was told down there in again short and blunt manner, even if I had just taken my wife from a bar I don't think it's good practice for your staff to treat paying customers this way,she did mention that there was a tomboy that witnessed the bathroom incident and was helpful and apologetic ,I do appreciate how difficult it is running any business in Thailand right now and didn't want to write a damaging review, hope anything I've said helps you sort it out, all I could do was...
Read moreOur food was fine, the menu is very varied. Unfortunately, the service we received on our first (and last) time on 2.10.17 11pm was very bad, so far the worst I've had in Thailand by far - usually people inside businesses are very kind and patient. The host was very rude and impatient from the beginning, when we were reading through the (long) menu at the front of the pub, and he kept on being disrespectful this way throughout. The waiters brought the check before I finished eating, which is fine, but they basically stood next to us and stared at us while we finished eating and while we counted the money. In the end, the host grabbed cash from my friend's hand (!!!) while he was counting the final sum. If the time is too late for the place to accept customers, then they should tell them that they are closed, as another place did, instead of being greedy and providing terrible service and experience. And you should never snatch money from a customer's hand. There are many other places nearby, and we will definitely not...
