I had a wonderful time at Potto hot pot, a cozy and delicious Japanese restaurant in Chiang Mai. The restaurant is located on Sirimangkalajarn road, opposite to Goyee chicken rice. The restaurant has a unique and simple design, with a large U-shaped bar table and an electric stove in front of each seat. The menu is also simple, but offers a variety of choices for meat, seafood, and vegetables.
The best part of Potto hot pot is the soup and the sauce. The soup comes in four flavors: clear shabu shabu, black soup, tom yum, and kimchi. I tried the tom yum soup, which was spicy and sour, and very appetizing. The sauce comes in two flavors: sesame sauce and ponzu sauce. I liked the sesame sauce, which was creamy and nutty, and complemented the meat well.
The portion size was generous and satisfying. I ordered the mixed set, which included pork, chicken, shrimp, squid, fish balls, mushrooms, cabbage, tofu, and noodles. The meat and seafood were fresh and tender, and the vegetables were crisp and colorful. I cooked everything in the soup and dipped it in the sauce. It was a fun and interactive way of eating.
The service was friendly and attentive. The staff greeted me with a smile and explained the menu to me. They also refilled my soup and water regularly. The price was reasonable and affordable, only 89 baht for the mixed set. The restaurant also offers free wifi and parking.
I highly recommend Potto hot pot to anyone who loves hot pot or Japanese food. It is a great place to enjoy a warm and tasty meal...
