Me and my wife decided to get Indian and it was an okay Indian place. Coming from Los Angeles, we eat pretty authentic Indian food. Indian is one of our favorite foods so we always try it when we travel. The man who took our order was very bland and not welcoming. The food came out in an appropriate timely manner. Not too quick and not too long. He didnât tell me they were out of sprite until I asked where my drink was, which wasnât a big deal and I just got coke. The food came out hot but didnât seem fresh. We ordered paneer masala, rice, garlic naan and vegetables. Garlic naan was light, fluffy and flavorful. The paneer masala was dry with no sauce. The onions in the picture believe it or not was half of the paneer dish and not the vegetable dish. Rice was dry. Usually when we order Indian food from a family owned Indian restaurant, we usually get Indian food but this was okay. For what me and my wife paid it was okay but for being hungry and expecting the smells to match what we tasted, it deserves a two...
Read moreI'm a noob when it comes to indian food. I go to every indian shop whenever I travel. I'm simply curious on how different countries prepare Rogan Josh. I'm originally from Dallas ; and have tried hundreds of Indian restaurants in my area. I have to say the vibe here is unreal. The staff have the most authentic customer service skills I've encountered at any restaurant in chiang mai. Now the food. The crimson color of the curry truly shows they understand the ingredients for this intricate dish . Instead of a sloppy seasoned tomato sauce gravy ; they truly incorporate the original Kashmir recipe that is truly aromatic and savory. The naan is always fresh, hot, and buttery . The portions are always filling. The presentation is remarkable each and every time. The times I've come here; the recipe has always been consistent. I I've tried about 5 indian restaurants in chiang mai so far and I must say Taj Mahal is My favorite . I will consider this my cafeteria. Cheers and thanks for the Great đđ experience.

The food here is absolutely fantastic flavorful, authentic, and incredibly budget-friendly. But what really sets this place apart is the level of care and hospitality they provide.
I had a few issues when I visited Thailand due to language barrier , and the all the staff were family members and went above and beyond to help me out. They genuinely treated me like their own family member, which is something you donât see every day. And if youâre a Nepali speaker, youâre in luck! They speak Nepali here, so if you need any assistance, you can communicate easily. Taj Mahal isnât just about great food itâs about a great experience. Whether youâre craving some Indian cuisine or just need a friendly place to go, this restaurant is definitely...
