We had a booking for dinner at 7:00p.m. today, two adults and one child (6 years old). We were super excited to try this restaurant with amazing reviews and a promising menu. We arrived and they offered us two options for sitting: in the water or on a regular table, no fans, no aircon with 38 degrees celsius. No one offers us anything to drink so we called a waiter and ask for a bottle of water. Then we decided to order two T bone steak, a burrata salad, one pizza from the kids menu and three soft drinks. After several minutes they served the drinks and let us know that the pizza wasn't available today (a restaurant that highlighted pizzas in its website and we saw another table having pizza in that moment). So we order another T bone steak and wait. They bring the two T bone steaks and the salad for the adults and we had to wait for several minutes to the waitress to bring knives while our meat was getting cold in front of us. When we finished our dinner, our son was still waiting for his T bone, nobody said anything...we asked the waitress and she said that they were cutting the steak in that moment. We decided to cancel the dish and leave with our son hungry and sleepy one hour and a half after our arrival, it's a shame. The "burrata smoke salad" was good (photo), the meat taste good and was well cooked, the T bone steak cut was incorrect and was missing the tenderloin part. The service was terrible and I highly recommend you to train your staff to offer a high quality service that represents the prices in the menu and the food you served. We attended several local Thai restaurants in Phuket that offers way better more service, dedicated and detail oriented waitress/waiter and we were expecting at least the same or more from your restaurant but...

I had high hopes for Char’d Grill, given its beautiful ambiance and unique setting, but unfortunately, my experiences left much to be desired. I visited the restaurant twice, and both times were marked by disappointments that I can't overlook.
First Visit: During my first visit, the food took an astonishing one hour to arrive. I had accidentally booked a reservation for the following day, and while they were kind enough to accommodate us at the restaurant upstairs and offered us both menus, the entire experience felt off. The restaurant remained empty for the next three and a half hours, which made the whole situation feel unnecessary and awkward.
To add to the frustration, I ordered my steak medium-rare, but it arrived well-done the first time and medium-well the second time. When I raised this with the waiter, he tried to convince me that it was indeed medium-rare, which was clearly not the case. While the taste wasn’t terrible, the cooking was far from what I expected.
Second Visit: Despite the first experience, I decided to give Char’d Grill another chance, mainly because of the ambiance and the unique experience of sitting in the water. However, the second visit was even more disappointing. Half of the menu items were unavailable, so we settled on pizza and pasta. The pizza tasted like it had been pulled straight from the freezer at a supermarket, and the pasta—despite requiring extra approval to be cooked at our table as advertised on the menu—was overcooked, drowning in heavy cream, and utterly lacking in flavor.
In summary, Char’d Grill has a beautiful setting, but unfortunately, the food and service do not live up to the ambiance. After two disappointing visits, I doubt I’ll be returning...
Read moreI want to preface this by saying you are paying premium prices to eat at this restaurant and so expect a premium experience. Came here on Christmas Eve and we ordered 2 bottles of wine, two starters, two sides and 3 mains. Firstly they had given a holiday menu and removed all house wine from the menu and all wine was double the price shown online, we had to specially request the wine shown on the normal menu. The mains came out first as they completely forgot the starters (not sure how this happens) they tried to get us to eat the mains first and starters after the main meal which we obviously did not want to do. Finally the starters came and the prawns were mostly just prawn heads and tails in fried batter - maybe 1/2 pieces of meat. Then the mains came and they delivered the wrong side again and forgot our sauces. This was quickly replaced but it’s just a bit naff paying all this money and they cannot get one piece of our order correct. One waiter also came over to refill our wine - for some reason he poured all the wine - 1/4 of the bottle into my mums glass until it was almost full and left the rest of us with nothing to drink… very strange. Then the bill came with almost 1000 baht service charge added for abysmal service. I was really unhappy with everything and regret paying the service charge.
I will say the steaks were fabulous but everything else ruined our evening and such a shame on Christmas Eve. When you pay these prices it really isn’t acceptable. It came to over 11,000 baht...
