Kata Seafood — Restaurant in Karon

Ordered one of the big lobsters to share with my partner, and we were really pleased with our meal. The restaurant offer a variety of ways to cook your seafood, and we opted for BBQ. We’d been eyeing up which seafood restaurant in Kata to try over the course of our stay, and picked this one as the seafood looked fresh, the restaurant was always busy and we thought it had a nice vibe walking past each evening. Happy to say it did not disappoint.

The restaurant seemed full and was in a really nice spot, so we went there and had the worst experience. It was more expensive than other places, and the food came in a weird order. The dishes that doesn’t need much time (like french fries and springrolls) came after more than 40 minutes. I waited more than one hour for my noodles, which were disgusting and the spring rolls were repulsing. We saw many people leave before they got their food because of the waiting, and some left the cocktails almost full because they were repelling. Don’t waste your time here (sorry to say). Walked past looking for a last minute dinner option, menu had pages and pages of choices but unfortunately we did not enjoy our dinner and left it unfinished. My partner ordered garlic prawns, which came out completely different to the picture display in the menu (menu displayed the prawns with no shell or heads), he also ordered a pad Thai which was average - small portion and more expensive compared to other places (Kata Night Market).
