Having eaten at the Wine Connection a week previously and enjoyed the experience we decided to eat here a week later as we were in the same area, we were shown to a table for four and were provided with four menus, we sat there for some 25 minutes, eventually a waitress arrived to take our order for drinks, we ordered a bottle of red and wanted to order a single glass of white wine only to be told that they only had the Chardonnay and not the Sauvignon Blanc as advertised on the menu, we asked the waitress what else did they have as my friend does not like Chardonnay, she replied nothing, we thought this strange as they have an adjoining wine store to the restaurant. This seemed pretty useless that you can’t provide an alternative white wine in a glass, the waitress seemed totally out of her depth in resolving this, anyway our friend decided to go for a glass of rose instead, the waitress went to the wine store to get our selected red wine from their menu, she brought it to the table for our approval then took it away, a further 10 minutes passed and nothing, no table place mats or cutlery arrived, no one came to take our food order, no wine arrived other people who arrived go served, 40 minutes had now passed and absolutely nothing drinkable had been delivered to our table yet alone a food order taken. At this stage we all decided to get up an leave, it looked like our bottle of red wine and glass of rose was sat on top of the bar gathering dust, sadly no one had the ability to serve it to us. Never mind we found another restaurant that provided exceptional service and could cater for our wine choices also without the extensive wine selection the the WC has, rather disappointing that you have all that wine and can only provide a glass...
Read moreThey are really busy in the evenings between 20 and 21:30 p.m. They have a waiting list, when you ask, they write down your name into the list but they never use this list. We have been waiting for 45 minutes. There were several free tables which were waiting to be cleaned to take new customers. Nobody announced our name. They even didn’t check list and then they took random people who were not even in waiting list. After 45 minutes of waiting. we just left without having a table there. 2 days ago, we were lucky to find a table after 21 p.m. and food was decent that time. Not great not terrible. Wine was cheap and nice. But because of today’s incident, I have no wish to visit this place again. I see staff is not enough and they are way too busy to handle multiple tasks such as following up the waiting list and serving customers at the same time. But this kind of bad experiences of customers will damage their reputation. They should dedicate a welcoming guy to manage waiting list at busy hours at least. They don’t have right to steal customer’s time by waiting them long time and spoil their evening. I don’t suggest you to go this place if you are sensitive about service quality. You will have a bad experience from the...
Read moreThis chain restaurant, one would expect, should deliver a high standard of service, yet the reality fell short, particularly in the quality of the food. The beef was disappointingly tough, and the mushrooms resembled a porridge-like consistency—far from what one would anticipate. What exacerbated the experience was not only the minuscule portion of sauce accompanying the steak but also the abysmal attitude of the staff. Upon requesting sauce initially, I was curtly informed it wasn't available, with an unpleasant demeanor. Only after seeking assistance from another staff member did I receive the sauce, but to my dismay, it was an additional charge upon settling the bill. Such an encounter is simply unacceptable. These issues severely detracted from the overall dining experience. It's my hope that the restaurant takes serious consideration of both food quality and service attitude to enhance customer...
