They were better. They had better service, better staff.

I can call myself a long-time customer since BR has been my favorite restaurant in Bangkok for many many years, but today my experience was fairly disappointing. I went in expecting the usual vibe, the usual service, the usual quickness, but I was met with sub-standard service. True they had other customers (a couple of small tables) and 2 family tables, but I was a table of one person and ordered ONE single dish (the omelette on rice). I waited and waited, watching the families being served slowly while my order was probably far behind. I understood there were queues but I was hungry and thought perhaps my one dish could’ve come out quick enough but it didn’t. Half an hour past, and I got up to ask the waiter about my food, but didn’t get an actual response on when I’ll be served my dinner. I decided to cancel my order and paid for my coffee before leaving the restaurant. None of the staff felt like they owed me an apology and I guess they didn’t. Probably my fault for being hungry and not patient enough to wait for the food. I’ll probably revisit the restaurant but it’s time to give some space to Broccoli Revolution. Hopefully the next visit won’t be so bad.

Edit: the review was based on one evening that the staff wasn’t very understanding. I expected a lot because they usually deliver on all aspects. Anyway, broc rev still holds a special place in my heart. I’m editing...

I really had high hopes for this place but had a below average experience.

The service was honestly quite negligent during my time- they delivered a bowl of cutlery with missing forks and chopsticks, they were slow to respond to a beer spill on the table, and couldn’t seem to get us napkins! When we asked how to eat one of our dishes, the server was unable to explain it to us too...

The food was also a huge let down with the exception of the fried Vietnamese-style spring rolls (which had an excellent unexpected tofu filling and a tasty sweet red sauce.) The Khao Sew was recommended to us before, but was my least favorite dish. We hardly got any tofu (just 4 little cubes) and the main sauce was just okay. I honestly couldn’t eat it all because it just wasn’t very flavorful to me. We also ordered the Green Curry, which was very aromatic and coconut-y (and had more tofu!) It was a bit too spicy for my palate, even though I normally adore spice. The serving size was good to share for 2 people.

I was impressed with their craft beer selection and wide array of smoothies! I’d probably give this place one more try before making my final decision.

Unfortunately something in this food made me quite ill later in the evening and next morning! The kitchen looked very hygienic and clean, so I’m hoping I got I’ll from something else but I’m...

Broccoli Revolution is a standout plant-based restaurant in central Bangkok, offering a diverse and sustainable vegetarian menu. With locations on Sukhumvit Soi 49 and Charoenkrung Road, the eatery boasts a modern, eco-friendly ambiance, featuring high ceilings, abundant greenery, and natural light . The menu is globally inspired, with dishes like the Broccoli Quinoa Charcoal Burger, Cauliflower Dynamite Maki, and Khao Mun Jackfruit—a vegan take on Hainanese chicken rice . Cold-pressed juices and smoothie bowls are also popular, though some find the juices a bit diluted . Beyond food, Broccoli Revolution emphasizes sustainability, using biodegradable packaging and supporting local communities through partnerships with organizations like the Sati Foundation . While prices are on the higher side, the quality ingredients and ethical practices make it a worthwhile experience for those seeking healthy, plant-based dining in Bangkok.

Tried 5 items. Overpriced. Flavour and quality did not justify the price (compared to others in Bangkok). Smoothie was the worst! It had much ice and little fruit, rendering watery texture and, if asking for no sugar added, bland taste. Compare with BR's signature charcoal burger (salad sauce too sour, salsa and guacamole flavourless, ketchup tastes like McDonald's), I rather prefer May Veggie Home's signature burger at around HALF the price and for a homemade whole wheat bun, a properly spiced bean patty and tastier sauce. Smashed pumpkin burrito tastes mediocre, with the same salsa and guacamole as in the charcoal burger. Spaghetti with basil was good albeit a bit oily; not sure (I forget) with pine nuts or the more cost-effective cashew nuts. Juice was unluckily the best, albeit overpriced. (around 200 bath for 250ml pre-refrigerated juice. Not sure whether it was inorganic or fast/slow pressed.)
