Yes come to Sunrise Tacos in Bkk, specifically on Sukhumvit. (Please leave a like if you found this post helpful🙋♂️❤️)
After reading the reviews sunrise tacos on Soi 33, i found myself craving Mexican food, and i had to see what the hype was all about. Also, being that I am a native southern Californian, I love good Mexican food which compelled me to come here, even more. As well, the owner I read lived in San Diego or is from there? Had to make a visit now.
I tried several things off the menu hoping to fulfill my mexican food craving, I tasted a little bit of everything to make sure I was satisfied.
First up were the chips and guacamole. They were ok. It's not my standard of guacamole taste however the chips were fine. I rate chips and guacamole a 6.5/10.
Messing up guacamole is an unfortunate common thing in many Mexican restaurants, even where I'm from, so i had low expectations on the guacamole here as it doesn't satisfy the authenticity of real Mexican guacamole. It has a semi store bought taste if that makes sense.
The ground beef tacos were solid 7.5 out 10. The taco meat is seasoned more like a "chili style" taco meat. For me, that's more considered Tex-mex, not true mexican style taste but they were good just not great. That said, yeah, they are certainly satisfying and I would order them again, but they're nothing to write home about.
So far, my meal was average, and then the star showed up, the Carne Asada Burrito San Diego style🔥🔥🔥🔥
Yes, wowww! This burrito is banging and loaded with ingredients, its packed full. It has a unique umami flavor with its sauce. There are crisp fries throughout, adding to its girth and crunch against the soft tortilla, nice contrast! Each bite is a dance of pleasure on the taste buds. I loved this burrito, and I will order it again, 10/10.
The sourcream is a 10 (can't mess up sour cream though...) The refried beans are a 7/10
All in all, I recommend Sunrise Tacos on Sukhumvit 33. And I will certainly come back again soon.

Read moreDon't get it twisted... I'm a big ST fan.... the ONLY 24 hours Mexican, and for a farang in Thailand, that's special! But! For someone that has been a customer, i was disappointed. I was asked to fill out the order form...... and they STILL got it wrong! If you can't read orders, you shouldn't be taking orders for food period! What if i was allergic to white flour (yes i ordered soft CORN and got soft flour?) And now you got a lawsuit on your hands. Obviously corn tacos pricier than flour, but was that 90 bhat you saved worth it? Give what the customer ordered, if in doubt... ask your coworker to double check! I called actually not to demand refund but to give feedback and staff that answered tried to convince me that they have different types of corn tacos??? White corn tacos? Last time i ate here there was only a yellow corn tortilla lol anyways.. put the customer first and never make them feel crazy as if they don't the difference between a flour and corn tortilla smh. I will be expecting a free pie for the inconvenience lol and the flour tacos was still fire for...
Read moreAfter living in Guadalajara, Mexico for 3 years, these are the best tacos I’ve found in Thailand. From Chiang Mai to Phuket, I stop and try every Mexican restaurant I see, searching for authentic Mexican food and Sunrise does it best. The ‘Tijuana Tacos’ on the menu are what you’ll find throughout Mexico. The fresh, simple ingredients and large portions combine to give the best taste of real Mexican food. Great staff at this location, particularly Ella, who was a fantastic host and server. Her strong English, people skills and professionalism made the experience even better. Promotion is in order for her dedicated service. I’ll be a regular customer trying your different locations and will recommend to friends. This is a well-run business, keep up the good work!
A second visit two days later yielded the same results. Very good...
