Cooling Tower, Rooftop Bar — Restaurant in Khlong Toei Nuea Subdistrict

Came up in the evening to just have a view of the city but was attracted by the live band playing there so decided to stay for dinner and drinks. The atmosphere was lively but not too loud and the band was clearly very very good. I stayed there till 11pm after the final set and thoroughly enjoyed the evening there. The views are obviously amazing. The food and drinks were OK. Nothing much to shout about... Decent grub for a bar I guess. The calamari I ordered was seasoned well but overcooked so it tasted a little rubbery. The dish of the month, some baked pasta, was not bad but it did take a long while for it to be served. The cocktail I ordered was fine. Not brilliant but also not memorable because I can't remember what it was called either but I remember it contained peach and gin. What a great way to spend an evening!

First off, big kudos to the team at Cooling Tower Rooftop Bar—the service was genuinely warm and welcoming from the moment we walked in. You can tell the management is doing something right when the staff are that attentive and friendly.

The menu was refreshingly affordable, which was a nice surprise for a rooftop bar. Even better, they had a drinks promo going on and the staff let us know just in time before Happy Hour wrapped up—much appreciated!

The view? Absolutely stunning. You get a sweeping look over Sukhumvit and the Bangkok skyline, and it really adds to the whole experience.

They had a DJ spinning some laid-back tunes, which created a cool, relaxed vibe without being too loud or over the top.

A great experience at a rooftop bar, especially nice if you’re staying at Carlton. Makes dining there fuss free and comfortable, pamper yourself by returning to hotel after a long day, wash up, go to rooftop bar, go back hotel room and rest.

The drink’s quite unique and it is sweet and delicious - loved by my partner. The pork ribs’ BBQ sauce is sweet and smokey, meat is tender. The truffle fries is served hot, not the usual salty powdered truffle on the fries - the sauce instead packs a flavorful truffle taste. The pizza (a new item) is quite unique, the sour cream and smoked salmon makes a savory combination - not overly savory though.
