I have been to this place for more than four five times. I can say that I am satisfied except the last time the food that I ordered gave me discomfort in my stomach.
It is a small place. So the tables are next to each other and on my second visit there were two noisy customers. So I had to leave the place early.
the food, specifically the bread butter honey platter is very good for a light breakfast. green salad is 3 dollars and a huge one. The orange juice is around $3 and it comes in a big cup.
The stuff is friendly. the kitchen is next to the tables. So when someone orders fruit juice, the machines make huge noise, which is I think unpleasant for the customers.
The place doesn't have a proper ventilation. So every time I have my breakfast or lunch at this place, my clothes smell very bad. It is a good option for breakfast in Bangkok. You must add 10% service charge and 7% tax to the prices. Your average breakfast will be around 10 or 15 to $30 for one person.
I hope the owner can make some improvements in the place regarding these issues so that people would enjoy their time in the shop.
Also some of the chairs are very uncomfortable which made me leave after I finish my breakfast.
overall, it's not a bad experience, okay option for a breakfast. but still not a very professional establishment. I'm sure it would get better...
Read moreWhile I can only review the one dish I tried, I'm very impressed. Authentic sourdough bread, high-end coffee, a rustic but stylish interior, and a fantastic ambience (read as Music Tasteful and Not Too Loud, room temp neither stifling nor oppressively cold) all lend themselves to a pleasant experience.
The menu item I had was perfect for an American. We've heard of corned beef hash? This was literally corn hash (see pic). Well-conceived, well executed, albeit a bit digestively hard for a breakfast item. Nevertheless, it was done beautifully. The bell pepper sauce added a delightful punch of flavor once the corn had started to get a tad monotonous.
If I'd but one complaint (re: I'm guessing the owner), it was this. I arrived quite a bit earlier than opening time. I asked if I could have a coffee. Nothing doin'. I asked if I could have some water. No. That second one really bothered me. I walked to 7-Eleven and got a bottle and helped myself to an outdoor table while waiting for them to open. All's well...
Read moreThe restaurant is located on 5th floor with a hidden side entrance and very difficult to find. We called up restaurant at 925 pm and they said it was open. Because it took us five minutes extra to find the proper entrance, we reached after climbing 5 stairs- 4 of us 65-75 years old; to reach the restaurant at 9.35 pm, the lady rudely told us that their Chef had already left for home at 9.30 PM. They had no regard for the fact that at 925 pm they confirmed that the place was open. Least humanity to speak respectfully or offer something they could have I am sure after looking at the age of visitors who took so much effort of climbing 5 floors in a building where there used to be no lift. Horrible experience! The place actually is closed at 930 PM but they...
