We booked 3 rooms here, as a family of 7, staying 3 nights. We arrived early, maybe a little before noon. There's no reception. This hotel is really a restaurant, with 6 rooms above it. So the restaurant staff said our room wouldn't be ready till 2PM. We had lunch down the road, and returned after 2PM. Our rooms still weren't ready. It was 2:45 when they said ONE room was ready. We went up to find a room with a wet floor, reeking of floor disinfectant. There was no running water. Came back down to reception, who told us that this area didn't have running water between 3PM and 9PM. This turned out to be untrue. At 3:30, they offered us a 2nd room. This one had no running water either, and the WC didn't flush. The 3rd room, well, they said it would take awhile. They mentioned the room number, but then asked us not to go there. And obviously, we went there. The door wasn't locked, so we entered, and there was a bewildered, angry plumber in there shouting something in Thai. He had a dozen pipes on the floor, the washbasin wasn't connected, and the room reeked of sewage. Anyways, we saw the keys lying on the table and took them. "Reception" aka one of 3 waitresses at the restaurant, was most unapologetic. She really didn't even want to face us and converse. Our booking was non-refundable, so the 3rd party we booked through didn't offer us any compensation or remedial action. We walked the street and found another accommodation after some hunting. But at each one we asked if they had running water, and the response was a resounding "YES!" They looked most surprised that we were even asking.||We hung onto our keys for Enjoy Beach for the next 3 nights. Used the rooms a bit, to drop off heavy bags, to have a drink by the sea. The AC in one room didn't cool. The WC in another didn't flush. "Housekeeping", if they had been to our room, had just allowed the smell of feces to fester in that one room. A bed was rickety and noisy. It was all just a huge joke as...

Read moreI booked through agoda, but they have removed my review from their site, I used no profanity, so I'm not sure why. So I am posting here instead. I booked a deluxe ocean view room for myself and a friend. We are two ladies holidaying together for the first time and wanted our own sleeping space. I, 57 my friend 66. The room stated it had a double bed and a sofa bed. We checked in and was given a room on the third floor, which had a double bed, a dirty cornersofa, which we initially thought was sofabed. We headed out for dinner, thinking we would make the sofabed up on our return. On returning, we looked for the extra bedding and couldn't find any. I go down to reception and the guy who checked us in could not understand so I use Google translate to ask if it is a sofabed which he responds no so we ask where are we both meant to sleep which he then points to the double bed. It is late, and we are too tired to argue, so we decide to take a sheet off the doublebed and use the cornersofa as a bed. The mattress topper is so stained it needed throwing away. The next morning, I complained again about not giving the correct room to no avail, again using the language barrier. We did manage to get extra bedding for the corner sofa as we only had one more night there. The balcony, had not been cleaned for months it seemed and was not really a balcony the door hitting the wooden rail and also housed the air-conditioning outlet fan which was noisy, not the tranquil setting advertised on the site. The shower was glass not tempered, didnt close properly and afaid it may smash. Upon checking out, three men emerged from a room on the floor below which looked to have a sofabed. I have requested a full refund from agoda, and they have not responded to my complaint. I have a video of the room, the uncleanliness and balcony. I am not one to complain, but this really was substandard and not what we booked...
