Flame Tree Restaurant — Restaurant in Krabi Province

Terrible and Unsanitary. Unsafe to be operating a restaurant. Waited 20 mins to order, the last 5 of which with my arm raised with a menu in it (meanwhile at least 4 employees loitering nearby in not a busy restaurant). Water bottle came without a seal - definitely refilled from a prior use. Told him this was unsafe: he tut tutted me. Margharita pizza, like all those in Railay, is canned tomato paste with bits of plain white cheese and no basil despite the menu's boasts. The Pad Thai came cold and chicken raw ish- definitely inedible.   I know the food choices in Railay are abhorrent for those trying to avoid dysentary, and this 'restaurant' is unfortunately very much on par with the terrible status quo.  The last straw was that as we left, the 'waiter' whipped the water bottle at us, narrowly missing hitting us!! Both my partner and I were up all night sick from the food....

I stopped here for a drink with my friend and I regret it. We waited 10 minutes for them to drop a menu off. We tried to tell the server that we just wanted to order drinks but were ignored. Another 15 minutes went by and my friend waved them down to put in our drink order. 1 beer and 1 cocktail. They weren't busy and probably had a server for each occupied table. After we finished our drinks we sat around for another 15 minutes and had to wave them down for the check. They took my money pretty quick but then never came back with my change. Another 10 minutes later we are waving them down to ask where the change was and they gave us a confused response. We walked up to the bar pretty annoyed and frustrated with the whole experience. They couldn't figure out what happened to our check or cash. I finally got my change but the lack of service here will not be forgotten...

We had sat down and ordered by the time we saw the terrible rating. This then unfolded in front of us. It took about 20 minutes to get us drinks out of a fridge that was 5 meters from our table, to the point where we would have been better off getting them ourselves. Portions were small and the only thing that saved this place from complaint was the specials which made our specific meal cheap. Staff were extremely rude, literally ignoring me to my face when asking for the bill and then telling me to sit down when I gave up and went to go to the counter to pay instead. Then after sitting down we were told by another staff member at the counter to stand up to pay. Terrible establishment do not be fooled by the lots of people, this is clearly only a result of beachfront...
