They say they are now the ZAHARA Team. Not really sure if the new place is the same team or not. I went there after reading all the good reviews but, I am totally disappointed with the hair color and hair cut.
They cut my hair too short in spite of repeatedly asking not to.
Whatever hair treatment they did has just made my hair frizzier like hell.
Hair color is extremely EXPENSIVE!!!! I thought rates are expensive in Singapore but NO, THIS PLACE IS EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE. They first asked for BHT 9000 For half head highlights. When I said I wanted to leave coz of high rates, the Boss lady/whatever said "We'll do your hair color creatively - you'll get the same results but we will charge you BHT 6500". I trusted her confidence and now I HATE MY HAIR COLOR. They colored my hair GOLDEN at first. Then when I said I was unhappy, they made it darker with Toner. My 6 months old hair color was better than what I have now.
The girls look inexperienced. Kept asking the Boss lady 1090 questions throughtout the painful 3 hrs I sat there. At one point there were 5 ladies pulling my hair from all directions.
Obviously they care less becuase they know you are a tourist.
BOTTOMLINE: This place is TOTALLY NOT WORTH IT at the price they are charging. Inexperienced staff but, full...
Read moreTerrible experience. I went to Breakfast Story for breakfast and saw this place had some people there. I walk in and book for the afternoon. They asked me to give deposits. I did it. After I arrived, they asked the receptionist to do the consultation service with me. The hairstylist is like a middle-aged cleaning lady. She has no idea about cutting hair. I also want to do the Color. When I booked, I told them before. They said they were too busy. The salon inside and upstairs are dirty and cold. The first hair stylist doesn’t know what she is doing. The second one is ok. The price is not cheap in Thailand, but the service is terrible. The cut is ok but not great. I think all the Google positive reviews before maybe they ask their friends to write for them. When the lady washed my hair, the water came to my ears twice. They keep taking the pic of me without my consent. If you are travelling, please don’t go to this place. I think a lot of the customers see the reviews and book them. And they keep taking pics for the customer and make them look good. So they have many tourists go there. Then I went to another hair salon. No prepay is needed from another salon, and it was spotless. I think Savanna Hair are the worst salons I have ever...
Read moreI’d been to Savanna for a mani/pedi the last time I visited Bangkok so I decided to try them again. This time was even better than I remembered. I had two therapists working on me at the same time. I was offered something to drink. The chair was a massage chair 🤗. I never get color. The buff I got was excellent. It looks like I have clear polish on! My husband had a haircut and color. I was so impressed with his color job that I returned to have my own hair colored. I had intended to wait until I returned home. I’m so glad I didn’t. A couple of times during the process there were three people working on me. So many small details of great care, i.e., someone holding up a small cape to ensure I didn’t get wet when my hair was rinsed, an eye guard to ensure I didn’t get anything in my eyes, the therapists worked to ensure I didn’t get that telltale “border” of color around my hair line, care to select the best color match, etc. If you’re in the Ploenchit neighborhood, check this place out. Prices are high for local Thais, but extremely affordable for visiting Americans. And on top of everything else, excellent English which made it even...
