Misho — Restaurant in Lumphini Subdistrict

The food quality is good but it is let down by the service. For this price point I expect better service.

Reason: We had 1 dish not arrive at our table. After 10 mins we asked the staff to follow up on the missing dish. We followed up twice again. Each time around 5 mins. Multiple tables arrived after our small group and order and have their food delivered. Our item was still missing. All other dishes were served to our table except the one dish we were asking about.

After following up several times, the person who ordered the dish was fed up waiting. All others at the table had finished their meal. They decided to eat elsewhere. The item was on the bill, just not delivered. So it wasn't an ordering issue. The restaurant quickly removed the item from the bill and apologized but the damage was done.

Following up multiple times over a reasonable period with no outcome is not acceptable at this price level and location.

Disappointed and embarrassing for me after recommending the venue to others.

Again, I cannot fault the food quality but overall there are other options in the area that offer a higher standard of service for the same...

I would definitely recommend Misho to anyone looking for a great Japanese meal in Bangkok. However, if you are sensitive to traffic, you may want to consider going during off-peak hours or choosing a different location.

The service was excellent. Our waiter was very attentive and helpful, and he made sure that we had everything we needed.

The atmosphere was warm and inviting. The restaurant is decorated in a traditional Japanese style, and there is a lovely garden in the center.

The food was delicious. We tried the milk TOFU (a must-try dish), which was creamy and flavorful. We also had the salmon sushi, which was fresh and perfectly cooked.

The prices were very reasonable.

Pros: Excellent service and staffs. Staffs are very attentive. The restaurant is very clean, quiet and provide good atmosphere. Fresh ingredients. Good food presentation. Good value for price.

Cons: The taste of the fish. The fish was very bland (although it’s fresh). Milk tofu was too sweet. The seaweed used for temaki was not prepared properly- no fragrant and started to soak when served.

Overall: The quality of this restaurant is above average comparing to most other Japanese restaurants in Bangkok. I had high hope before I try and fail when I tasted it. However, I think the Japanese head chef could do better. Suggest to get a better ingredient quality. There’re many customers out there who’s ready to pay more for the top...
