Ah pad krapow (PK) the comfort dish for many Thais and the go-to when you can’t think of anything else on a menu.

Whether cooked on the street - emitting plumes of chilli infused smoke causing coughing and sneezing - at a food court, or a restaurant run by a well-known YouTuber, PK is everywhere. It might be the unofficial national dish of Thailand.

This humble meat, chilli, and Thai basil stir fry is not my fave but I enjoy it from time to time. If topped with a gloriously runny egg (chicken or preferably duck) all is good. Easy Buddy delivers on these fronts and while their PK is pricier than street cooked PK it’s worth it. Their PK is nicely balanced flavor-wise, with a hint of sweetness not found at other PK places I’ve tried. You can also choose your level of spice and heat.

I think not, they choose decent quality ingredients and have a way with food.

What ever you order at this place, don’t order beef tongue. Everything else are good. Nuer Nuer is the best for me.

The lighting for this place is a little weird. One side is super bright and on side is super dark. I think it’s good tho, people have different eye sensitivity! The down side is that. The food here isn’t consistent. My friends fried rice was very salty but my fried rice isn’t and it taste good. There’s a lot of different varieties of fried rice for people to choose including the spiciness level and type of rice. The ice lemon Thai tea is a no go for me as it tasted like syrup. The price is okay. If you’re a fried rice lover, you can give this place a try. If not, I don’t think it is worth coming here to try as there are better food out there.
