Break Point Hotel Patong Beachfront Phuket — Restaurant in Patong

I stayed here for 3 nights and the only saving factor is that it's close to the beach and some nightlife. The rooms are small, the WiFi is weak and often drops the connection, had to put 1500 Baht down for a deposit which really seemed like a lot for the rooms. The first night was so hot because the AC even though it was on full blast didn't seem to cool the room at all. The 2nd night was the same, the AC really wasn't cutting it and I came back to my room and found several cockroaches crawling on the walls. The 3rd night was rough. The power went out and that really messed up the AC and knocked the WiFi out. I asked the front desk if they had any idea when it would be back and no one seemed to know. I checked out the next day, got my 1500 and left. I wouldn't stay here again, you really get what...

I spent 5 nights here mainly to get work done in a cheap environment rather than partying or the beach.||The room was sufficient, I got 2 bottles of water per day.||It is weird to have to pay 1500 baht deposit for the room key. And it's really not logical, if this is the last hotel you stay at before leaving the country and not needing the returned baht anymore.||The staff had some issues with the English language, which really shouldn't be the case in a touristy spot like this. They were quite brash as well at first, which I also blame the usual tourists in this area for. Staff was friendlier by the end.||The attached restaurant is probably the best value in the whole area.
