Roma Ristorante & Pizzeria Da Mauro Patong — Restaurant in Patong

WORST ITALIAN. I wouldn't even give this so called 'Italian' Restaurant one star. We ordered two pasta dishes (Carbonara & Arribiata) Their was litreally no taste off either. The Carbonara was like cardboard. The Arribiata was no where near an arribiata, I could've made better myself with supermarket sauce. My partner ate none of his Carbonara. Onto the service, when the waitress came to collect the plates after maybe 30 minutes of being ignored.. My partner advised it was very bad with no taste - with that we got no reply or even acknowledgement. I proceeded inside to talk to a Manager. There was a woman at the till who looked to be a Manager who also ignored me until I raised my voice for a 4th time. She said she wasn't the Manager & out came another Man. After explaining the whole situation & about the rude waitress, this man then asked me "What should Carbonara taste like?" I'm not sure if this man was the Chef or the owner however no apology or even any customer service. I had explained everything so politely and he was litreally no help and didn't care. He then said 'Talk to them' not sure what this meant so I returned to the table & asked for the bill. Not one gesture to apologise, nothing. The food is overpriced and simply awful. We have been travelling Thailand for the last 6 weeks and have had amazing Italians for a fraction of the price. The most disappointing dinner & service of our trip. WOULD NOT RECCOMMEND, do not waste your time or money in this unprofessional...

One can not fault the food although certainly not the best Italian restaurant I’ve ever ate in,upon arriving with my baby daughter I got rather disapproving looks from 2 elderly gentlemen eating alone, I guess that’s kind of to be expected as they possibly expected, happily my daughter was completely a model child and never uttered once to annoy anyone. My surprise was when the manager or possibly uttered a comment to the elderly gentleman in some way to suggest that there are very few restaurants open at the moment in some way to insinuate and condone the unfounded utterances of the elderly gentlemen. Possibly the restaurant has a strict smart dress code of which we where unaware of but surely if so the lady who canvassed is to eat in the restaurant would have explained such. My personal opinion of the restaurant is the food is fair to good but in some way the restaurant and the clientele may well look down upon others for bring their young families with them.

I certainly wouldn’t expect that I would eat here again even if all other restaurants are closed I think I’d just nip into a 7/11 for a microwave pizza to save the judgemental very uncomfortable experience my family...

‼️Terrible Service – Rude and Unacceptable Behavior‼️

I was interested in checking out the menu outside on the street at Roma Ristorante & Pizzeria Da Mauro Patong and asked a simple question about their vegetarian lasagna—specifically whether it contained fake meat or just vegetables. I used Google Translate to make sure my question was clear and easy to understand.

To my shock, the waitress outside became extremely rude, visibly irritated, and started shouting at me. Instead of a simple answer, I was met with hostility and told to just go away and eat somewhere else. This is completely unacceptable behavior.

No customer should ever be treated like this. The woman outside should not be working in hospitality if she can’t handle a basic inquiry without losing her temper. The manager should seriously consider addressing this issue and ensuring that staff treat potential customers with respect.

Avoid this place if you expect decent service. There are plenty of other restaurants in Patong that actually value...
