Bushido Japanese Restaurant — Restaurant in Patong

Disappointing attitude of the owner. We finished eating, settled the bill and were talking amongst each other when the “boss” came. She asked abruptly what we were waiting for, whether we paid the bill or not yet and when we said yes, she yelled at her staff for not giving us our phones back that were kept on charge and for not getting us out of the restaurant.

The staff were nice and cordial but the boss was not good at all. The restaurant wasn’t busy, didn’t have any waiting line and nor were they due to close for another 1.5 hours. We strongly do not recommend. Bad leadership.

To her: My dear Thai friend, we came to your restaurant at 11pm AFTER our dinner because we were walking by and we saw that you were serving Teppanyaki at your restaurant and we were keen to check the quality of your food and if it was good we were planning to come tonight for proper dinner. Yes we picked up beers from 7-11 like most people in Thailand and a lot of restaurants don’t have any issues with this. If you had, you should’ve told us and we would respectfully follow your rules. I’m sorry if you thought charging phones at your restaurant cost you too much electricity and you aren’t able to provide this service. We also own restaurants back home and we know one thing: NO CUSTOMER IS BIG OR SMALL. Every customer is important. We really enjoyed the food, I think we went in at the right time as there was really only 1 table of 4 who were sat down.

Just as we had ordered our drinks, which arrived in no time by our kind waiter, a larger than normal family came in with children running and screaming around the place, with 2/3 of them constantly causing a fuss of having to sit down, shouting as louder than the rest to make sure they were heard.

Dispite this it did get busier with all tables we could see were full and most of the chairs facing the chefs prep area.

Now this is not through fault of their service and is out of their hands how other paying customers behave, it just for us meant we couldn’t sit there and enjoy some quiet whilst enjoying the amazing food which arrived.

Luckily we ordered when we did from the menu, we good our order in good time again and in a way we didn’t have 3/4 plates all over but got to enjoy it all. Hi, thank you very much for your food, it was very famous and of a high standard.
