Stopped in to eat while in Patong under Phuket Sandbox. I didn't realize it was close to closing time. Not many places open to eat late at night and when I say late, I mean late during COVID curfew. It was 2145 (9:45pm) and Google say they close at 2230 (10:30pm). About 98% of everything still closed. All bars closed and alcohol sales banned. Many restaurants close temporary or permanent.
So... they escorts me in to a table at a window with a direct view of Patong Walking Street, which is a ghost town. Absolutely nothing open except a massage shop. I ordered the pork kyoza, chicken fried rice, pineapple smoothies and french fries. (Don't judge me for the fries, it's one of my addictions 😁). The pineapple drink came out first followed by the Kyoza and two sauces as the appetizer and, while they were rather small (in America, the portions are always large), they were very delicious.
Next came the friend rice with a small salad and my fries. Again, portions a little small but I didn't care. The food was great!
After I finished, the were quick to clear the plates, which was nice and I didn't feel rushed at all. The server asked if I wanted some dessert, but I declined. Then the owner approached my table and asked how everything was. Young italian guy. I always think this is a sign of a great manager/owner. Shows he really cares about his customers and their experience in his restaurant. We talked a little about random stuff. (Football, soccer, basketball, economy, home countries, etc)
After our chat, I paid my bill and left. Just as I was about to leave, a couple walked in and it was after closing, but during these COVID times, it's understandable to stay open even for just one customer. The owner truly cares.
I will definitely come back to try some of the other dishes this place offers. They have a wide range of food options.
Stop in if you are in the area. Was worth my time and I left with a...

About 2 years ago, I was visiting from the Pattaya area and staying at the Expat Hotel a stone's throw away and the proprietor recommended The Kitchen to me.
So last night was my 3rd visit and I always have the same thing because it's so damn delicious. And it's a great deal pricewise, given its location.
It's the half roasted chicken for 310 baht. It comes with fries or roasted potatoes (and they roast the potatoes so expertly they're like deep-fried taters) OR a salad. Choice of 4 sauces and the delightfully cute Thai server recommended the mushroom and it paired perfectly with the chicken and roasted potatoes. I'm not a big fan of chicken skin unless just right and I eschew fried chicken when I can resist. This skin, as is the rest of the half bird, perfect. The breast meat is moist. Won't make you cough.
It will fill up all but Olympic-class powerlifters. I had to return to my hotel for a...

We had an amazing dining experience at The Kitchen in Patong. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and professional service. The menu offers a perfect mix of Thai and international dishes – and everything we ordered was full of flavor, freshly made, and nicely presented.
The steak was cooked exactly to order, and the Thai curries were rich, authentic, and perfectly spiced. Portions are generous, prices are fair, and the atmosphere is both relaxed and stylish – ideal for couples, families, or even business dinners.
Staff were attentive without being intrusive, and they made sure everything ran smoothly from start to finish. You can tell they care about quality and customer satisfaction.
Highly recommended if you’re looking for a solid, satisfying meal in the heart of Patong. We’ll...
