We went in with a lot of expectations for this place. Every other reel you see of food places to try in Phuket, you see No. 6 mentioned as a top priority. Taking notes from these reels, we arrived in the Evening, and from the start it was a tough call. The long queue outside made us wait for about half an hour. No. 6 being a small capacity restaurant, you have to wait and they let you go in only when the table based on your requirement is free.
Coming to the service. You have to order in before you enter the restaurant, which makes it difficult for us newcomers as we have barely any idea of what is good and there's no staff whom you can ask in these rush hours. There's one staff member who comes occasionally to take the order and gets restless when you take too much time or ask a little too many questions about the food ( I get it that she is being like that due to rush, but come on 90% of your customers are tourists). Then after you have seated the food takes a lot of time to arrive and then if you order something extra afterward, the wait is even longer.
Now to the food. I have excused the food on various factors, that maybe we ordered the worst items on their menu, or that maybe it was my Indian pallette that made these foods taste bad. I mean, clearly based on their ratings it's a good place to have your food adventures in Thailand. But something was off big time. The food tasted bland and way too much raw fish, not only in smell but tasted raw. Also their choice of pasta is weird. These squishy things they term as pasta taste horrible and the texture is not what you would like to have in your mouth. The only good items were, the fried chicken, another chicken dish with rice. The pastas were horrible, the noodles tasted okayish and the chicken, being chicken, was the best of the lot.
For Indians going in, I would request to reconsider based on our food pallette. The place is great don't get me wrong. This is a popular food joint by every metric there is but our taste buds can't handle the authenticity of Thai cuisine. It's just too much fish. I am all up for trying new cuisines and dishes and have done so all through my journeys but this was too much...

Read more⭐ 3 Stars — Decent Food but Doesn’t Justify the Hype
My wife and I visited No.6 Restaurant in Patong this evening after walking past it multiple times during our stay in Phuket. It’s hard to miss — the long queues outside night after night made it one of those places that seemed like a must-try. So, when we noticed there was no queue for once, we decided this was the perfect opportunity to finally give it a go.
We ordered two of their most talked-about dishes: the famous chicken wings and a prawn noodle dish. Service was reasonably fast, and the staff were polite. The wings were tasty, and the noodles were well-seasoned, with a good portion of fresh prawns. The food was decent, no doubt, and the prices were fair.
However, I must say — while the meal was satisfying, it didn’t quite live up to the hype. Considering how long people are often willing to queue to dine here, I expected something much more standout. In our opinion, there was nothing particularly exceptional about the food or experience that would justify waiting in a long line, especially in a place like Patong where great food is plentiful.
For comparison, we dined at the restaurant next door — Dang Restaurant — three times during our stay. The food at Dang was consistently delicious, more flavourful, and in my honest opinion, better value overall. While No.6 gave us a nice meal for the evening, Dang Restaurant would still be my top pick between the two for both taste and reliability.
So in summary: No.6 is decent, but overrated. If there’s no queue, it’s worth a try. But if you’re considering queuing for 30+ minutes thinking this is a culinary gem, I’d recommend skipping it and heading to Dang next...
