We ordered the big and expensive Tomahawk steak, we asked for medium rare and received it medium well, overall was not the best steak I ate , especially for the price. Drinks were not professionally made, and were not as good as the cocktails in any of the resorts bars. Service was non existing - we asked to get the first orders / sides before the main like 4 times. We waited for over 40 min for our food.
Not once we were asked how is everything or if the steak is good or if anything is missing. Next to us was sitting a couple who also received a remark that they should wrap up because there are a few potential clients waiting for a table (something that would have put me off if said to me, especially when the couple didn’t set there for so long)
In the end we wanted to pay the high bill - only to find out the Resturent charge us 3% for credit card, if I’m honest only this cost them at least one star in my review - if you charge over 4000B (over 100USD) and don’t regularly accept credit card without a fee, and you don’t inform clients boldly, you are just wrong and deceiving. Also - if you look not so hard you can find companies that charge you much less then the 3% the Resturent charges, and I’m sure that the Resturent owner already did his homework, so to charge a high unwritten mark up and make a profit over it is just unfair.
I’ve complained about this twice only to be said “I can’t do anything it’s my manager decision “ - well if I were the waitress or the owner when someone complains about an unjust surcharge - you should cancel the charge or at least compensate with a small dessert or hot drink on the house, nothing expensive, just a sign that you care even if you disagree.
I will add that the food was not bad - it was just not that good, and value for money it was just not there at all…
The toilet was not clean the bin was overflowing with garbage, not to be expected in an expensive restaurant.
It’s clear that the owner has put some thought into the design of the place, it’s just that operationally and service wise it’s not...
Read moreTwo trips to Patong, 5 months apart. Six different meals on six different days at six different times. Very well presented venue, staff immaculately dressed. Some of the meals- Appetizer - Truffle & Cheese Fritters An incredible light introduction to what they have to offer, full of flavour and the cheese sauce was amazing. I would have liked more of the sauce to balance out the amount of tuffle however the next person would have been very happy with the balance. If you are looking for a great Aussie pizza, don't come here as Mojo serve traditional Italian pizzas that are next level. Loved the Bolognese. Crispy outer rim, the base was very thin and was a tad soggy because of the oil from the beef. This didn't detract from my meal as the flavours were sensational. Spaghetti Carbonara - just do it omg. Finally my favorite - Mushroom Risotto. Simply, everthing you want in a risotto is in this dish. Rice cooked to perfection, flavours and quantity. I added a little pepper, then a little salt, then a little salt & pepper to test the balance of seasoning. Result, don't mess with perfection. Owners/management have put a lot of time into staff training and this is very obvious when entering the restaurant. Not something you see in many Patong dining establishments. Already looking forward to my next food journey in April 2024 which will see me here on more than...
Read moreThis is my first experience with a tomahawk steak, and let me tell ya, it was amazing.
We started off with this great beet salad, it was a very large salad but the proportions (lettuce to accoutrement ratio) were perfect. The seasoning and dressing were delicious and you could taste every fresh ingredient. There was a GIANT hair tangled throughout the salad. We informed the waiter (not that we really cared, the salad was THAT good, but we wanted to make sure it didn’t happen to others), and they took care of us immediately and rectified the situation with kindness and promptness.
The steak itself was to die for. Cooked perfectly. I like mine a bit more rare but the cut of meat was so good and tender it came apart with ease. The garlic butter sauce was the winner for sure, the pepper sauce didn’t really have any flavor.
The drinks were great, atmosphere was half out/half inside. You could go here for a romantic date or just a fun night out, it fits both vibes. People do smoke in the restaurant but the ventilation makes it fade quickly (we’re sensitive to smoking, and we didn’t think it was that bad).
Service was fantastic, but the desserts were only okay. I’d go somewhere else for desserts, it wasn’t up to par with the rest of the quality.
Thanks for an...
