Our dining experience at Mr. Tuna was, unfortunately, one of the worst we’ve ever had. While the staff were polite, their service was subpar, and the food was simply disastrous.
As a fellow business owner, I rarely leave a 1-star review because I understand how damaging it can be. However, in this case, I feel obligated to share my experience as a caution to others.
There are three Mr. Tuna restaurants: two offering Greek and Turkish cuisine and one serving Italian food. We visited one of the Greek and Turkish restaurants—the one at the beach side street. It felt like a complete tourist trap.
The restaurant lures customers in by blasting Turkish and Greek music, creating the illusion of authenticity. However, the reality couldn’t be further from the truth.
The prices were outrageous. We ordered stuffed vine leafs for 399 baht (~11€). They were burnt on the outside and undercooked on the inside—a complete disaster. To make matters worse, as soon as we were seated, a server brought out a large tray of cold appetizers and asked if we wanted any of them. This tactic is very misleading, as it gives the impression these appetizers are inexpensive, but they are priced at 200–400 baht (6–12€) each, which is absurd.
For our main course, we ordered the mixed grill for one person at an eye-watering 1,099 baht (~32€). While the portion was large enough for two, the quality was shockingly bad. The meat patties, labeled as Greek “kefte,” were dry and hard, as were the kebabs. The chicken wings had barely any meat on them, and the lamb chop was tiny, dry, and tough. The only decent item was the chicken souvlaki, which was flavorful and juicy. Everything else was tasteless and barely edible.
As a Greek who lives near the Turkish border and is very familiar with both cuisines, I can confidently say this food is neither Greek nor Turkish. There were no spices, no flavors—nothing authentic or enjoyable about it.

Likes: -Conversations with the 2 sister servers from Myanmar were enjoyable and the highlights of our visit. They were sweet and gave very good service. -The decor is beautiful and the place is very clean.
Dislikes: -The food was just very average. The flavors are forgettable. To charge these prices you’ll need to do better, much better. -The rice was spoiled to the point of having a slimy texture. Kinda left a really gross taste in your mouth and ruined the whole experience. This is the reason for the one star. How can you serve spoiled rice?? -Manager tried to remedy the situation by giving us complimentary tea and watermelon after he found out about the rotten rice. Would have given two stars if the rice was not spoiled.
Overall, will not be coming back. There are too many good restaurants here at this pricing point which serve much...
