"Punte" in Thai translates to "local food" and that's what you get at this food court. Located on a quiet street in the Old Town, it consists of about 8 small kitchens on 3 sides, each specializing in different Thai foods. The middle of the food court has a seating area.

Non-vegetarians have options galore, whereas the Pad Thai is the only option for vegetarians. Even though the kitchens are small, they make delicious food, serve them on banana leaves and present them well. One of the kitchens serves Phuket's local dessert delicacy (which you may or may not enjoy) consisting of jelly, ice and a flavoring agent. The prices are very affordable!

Food aside, the ambience of the place is very inviting, a tall ceiling replete with yellow lights and a lot of plants around. They have a really big and clean restroom. If you are confused how to get there, it is right next door to the...

Decent and clean for the infrequent traveler without much time but who wants to try all the local street foods in a nice and clean space like a hawker stalls food court. Lovely atmosphere and service level at the stores. We arrived late afternoon on a busy day so many stores were out and some weren't there. Got to try a variety of noodle dishes and they were quite decent. Only the satay was sub-par by Thailand standards (dry, bland, small..). Hokkien noodles were the best; Kanom Jeen was also good with a very broad range of condiments; Guaytiew Gui also had very good chewy noodles - though they were out of noodles when I arrived, when I went "Oh noooo!😢" the lady went and bought noodles off the other store across the floor👏👏👏 while these are far from best in town, it's a good way to...
