Unworthy of Its Reputation – A Michelin Disaster
Our experience at this so-called “Michelin-starred” restaurant was nothing short of abysmal. The six years of back-to-back Michelin accolades raised our expectations to the sky, but the reality was a catastrophic letdown. From the moment we stepped inside, it became evident that the restaurant prioritizes its reputation over genuine service and quality.
Unacceptable Wait Time and Mismanagement Upon arrival, we were herded into a sweltering back room with no service, no water, and no explanation. We waited there for an excruciating 45 minutes, only to later discover that the main dining area upstairs was nearly empty, with dozens of available seats. This delay seemed entirely manufactured to create the illusion of exclusivity. For a restaurant of this stature, such treatment of guests is inexcusable.
Subpar Service and Unreasonable Policies Once seated, we waited an additional 20 minutes just to place our order. After that, it took another 40 minutes for the food to arrive—two hours of our lives wasted before we even had a bite to eat. During this time, the staff displayed an astonishing lack of attentiveness and professionalism.
The worst moment came when we tried to exchange a drink, a plum soda that tasted horrendous and was utterly undrinkable. Instead of accommodating our request, the staff and manager refused to replace it and coldly stated that we either had to drink it or pay for another drink. Such rigid, unsympathetic policies have no place in a fine-dining establishment.
Underwhelming Food and Questionable Hygiene When the food finally arrived, it was bland and uninspired—something we could have easily found at a street stall for a fraction of the price and with far better flavor. The presentation lacked the finesse you’d expect from a Michelin-starred restaurant, and the hygiene of the space left much to be desired. For a venue touting six Michelin awards, this level of mediocrity was astonishing.
A Warning to Fellow Diners This was not just a disappointing meal—it was the worst dining experience of our lives. The restaurant failed on every front: service, food quality, ambiance, and basic hospitality. Michelin-starred establishments are supposed to set the gold standard for excellence, but this place has clearly rested on its laurels and lost sight of what truly matters.
I urge anyone considering this restaurant to think twice before wasting their time and money. Street food vendors in Thailand offer better taste, service, and authenticity without the pretense or inflated prices.
Final Verdict: 0/10 Do yourself a favor and skip this overhyped, underwhelming disaster of a restaurant. Michelin should seriously reconsider its endorsement of this establishment, as it is a disgrace to the standards of...
Read moreI've been in Thailand for 13 days, and I’ve had Thai food at almost every meal. Thailand has a lot of Michelin-starred restaurants, and I visited the ones I came across. Besides that, I also ate very cheap food sold at night markets and food courts. I can say with confidence that this was the only bad experience I had. Also, in a country where I have never encountered any disrespect anywhere, I honestly can’t understand how they managed to gather such rude staff in one place.
It was a place where you’re given a queue number to sit at a table, but no one – I mean no one – welcomes you. When we first entered, since no one greeted us, we didn’t understand what to do and headed to an empty table. From the cleaner’s aggressive gestures and “het höt ho ho,” we realized we weren’t allowed to sit. We went to the cashier, and I had to say “hello” three or four times (I’m not exactly sure how many) before the woman finally looked at us. Then they gave us a number and made us wait about 10 minutes in a back room. After all that waiting, they took us to the upstairs area, which had been completely empty the whole time.
Some pages of the menu were missing from mine, and others were missing from my partner’s – we had to combine them just to understand what food was available :D NO KIDDING. When I was ordering, the waiter asked me about the spice level of the dish (according to what waiter told me when i asked), but I didn’t hear the question because I was still in the middle of placing my order. Since I didn’t hear the question, I naturally didn’t respond, and the waiter didn’t bother repeating it. As a result, I ended up with an unbearably spicy dish. After just a few bites, my stomach started burning horribly.
Also, no one even placed the food in front of us – they just threw it on the edge of the table and walked away. None of our dishes arrived at the same time. The portions were the smallest we’ve seen anywhere. The people at the table next to us had ordered mango sticky rice, but since they brought the mango without peeling it and didn’t provide a knife, they spent about 10 to 15 minutes trying to peel it themselves.
When we went to pay for the inedible meal, the cashier – who clearly thought she was doing the world’s most important job – calmly continued her "very important" task for about five minutes before taking our payment. When we explained our dissatisfaction using a translator because they didn’t speak English, they didn’t even apologize. In fact, not a single word was spoken. She just looked at us and gave no reaction at all.
Unfortunately, I had a very unpleasant experience in a place I was so excited to visit. This was the only place I...

I don’t normally write these reviews but I felt compelled to after last nights experience - a complete and utter tourist trap.
Like most, we had heard great things online and decided to give this a try. On arrival, no welcome or eye contact from any of the waiters, just us awkwardly shuffling at the door for about 5 minutes before being escorted into the back room to wait. A cattle mart - escorting waves and waves of visitors into the waiting room like a conveyer belt. 20 minutes later, a table became available, not our own table, a 4 person table for us to share with 2 other diners. No thanks.
We eventually received our table - menus slammed down with no greeting or explanations. The menus themselves look like they were created in the 80s they are that battered looking. It’s fine - the food is going to be top class.
We placed our order. 2 main dishes and an appetiser, which we asked for everything to come together. 2 mains arrived, plates slammed down and the waiter took off. I had been eating Thai food for 14 days straight, and I can honesty say that this was the blandest, plainest, most lacking in flavour dish I have had on my entire trip. Zero taste. Portion size was fine. 15 minutes later the appetisers arrive - tasteless, bland, lacking flavour. I couldn’t wait to leave at this point. Directly beside our table was a tray full of dirty dishes and cutlery that the waiters were using to collect used table items. I understand this is to help speed up service, but perhaps it could be positioned in the back away from customers. Throughout the entire dinner service, no member of staff wants to make eye contact. It’s head down running around avoiding at all costs.
I went to pay - cash only. In their defence, they did have a big sign on the door that says this. There was no chance of them allowing me to use card. I quickly ran to the ATM and returned. The bill was incorrect - two additional items were added to my bill. People are everywhere at this point, and we are standing in the middle of this mayhem trying to sort the bill. Guests entering the premises, waiters running around and guests being escorted to tables. We paid and left.
If you’re looking for a genuine, authentic dining experience with warm hospitality and delicious food, keep walking. But if you’re into chaotic queues, soulless service, bland meals, and being herded around like livestock – then congratulations, you’ve found your spot.
The hype is absolutely not real – this place survives off its online reputation and tourists who don’t know any...
