we discovered TG Sushis bar by consulting the opinions of other Internet users. with an average of 4.9 out of 5 out of more than 100 reviews, it was already a reference. we booked a slot for dinner at 8:30 p.m. for 3. so to start we were extremely well received by the Chef and his charming wife. the restaurant is very small and can only accommodate 8 guests inside and 3 or 4 outside (it is cooler inside, the air is pleasantly air-conditioned). Regarding the dishes offered, everything is impeccable and of questionable freshness, and everything is good and perfectly seasoned, including the succulent Japanese rice from the island of Okaïdo. The chef is passionate about his work and shares with his guests the origins and what makes the rarity of the fish and the ingredients and accompaniments offered. In short, it's excellent from start to finish for a more than reasonable price. be careful all the same you will not pay the same as at a Fuji but for a service worthy of an Omakase it is very reasonable. I think you absolutely have to book but if you are on Phuket and you want to treat yourself by eating excellent sushi, maki, nigiri or sashimi, TG Sushi Bar...
Read moreTG Sushi is absolutely in my top 3 favorite places to eat in Phuket. I have had sushi around the world, and TG Sushi Bar is something very, very special.
The location is convenient in the beautiful Old Town Phuket, the space is cozy and intimate, the chef and his wife (I think they married?) are wonderful, and the sushi is incredible.
The fish is always very fresh and of a very high quality, and is prepared with love, passion, and dedication by the chef. Because the space sits only a few people, you can watch the care that is put into each serving. This passion is clear in both the visual presentation of the sushi as well as the flavours and textures.
If you are at a loss with what to order from the great selection, I would recommend asking the chef what he thinks is good- so far every time I have taken his suggestions I have been blown away!
Honestly, I rate TG Sushi Bar 6...
Read moreI think I’m missing out on a few pictures but I just have to review this place. I rarely do reviews cause I think it’s rather a hassle and most popular places many people actually have done a review. Just felt this place deserves a shout out.
Every dish was explained and shared the moment the food is served. In each dish, the flavor just balanced so amazingly. It is like a complicated piece of beautiful art that requires your brain to process! I can dive into each dish and feel the unique taste of the freshness. No words can explain the roller coaster of a ride my tongue went through.
For price point I honestly think it’s worth it, I went to google what I was served and also the amount of food. By mid dinner I felt quite filled that’s how much food was served!
On a side note, Chef blessed me with Hokkaido rice sushi that’s not on his menu. Some sushi was served hand-to-hand. It...
