Banana Tree — Restaurant in Satun Province

The pork fried rice was really tasty but what left us with a horrible taste was the awful unwelcoming service!!

After travelling Asia for 5 months, the staff here were by far the most miserable and unfriendly people we have encountered. The food takes a long time to come out, especially when the chef clearly didn’t know about our order because she looked confused when she noticed we were waiting for food….

Don’t bother or waste your money as it clearly isn’t appreciated, would be way better off getting a cheese...

We’ve been in Koh Lipe for 5 nights and this is without a doubt the most amazing Thai food we’ve had all trip. The restaurant is understated but the food is truely amazing.

Thai curries, fresh fish, “western Thai food” - they do it all but most importantly the family that run the place are delightful, caring and accommodating.

It’s also great value for money with large portions.

We’ll be back...

I don’t know why this place has poor reviews — this is some of the best Thai food we have had in Koh Lipe. Lovely family-run restaurant too. We ordered the stirfry seafood in oyster sauce and fried noodles in soy sauce with shrimp, along with two skewers of potatoes with paprika (which were to die for)....
