Sky Beach Bangkok — Restaurant in Si Lom Subdistrict

Okay so first of all the view is great. Not amazing or breathtaking, but great. But it is not worth visiting, here is why: Basically, this place is a queue simulator. If you want to stand hours in line, this is a go to: Stand in line to enter the building Stand in line to buy the ticket (you can do this online to skip this) Stand 30 to 60 minutes huge line to get upstairs Stand in line to walk on the glass floor Watch the sunset along with hundreds of people around (probably you won't see anything) Times up, you have to go down. Guess what, hundreds of other visitors have to go down too. This leads to 2 full floors sized line which is more than 1 hour long! I repeat, you have to wait 1 hour in an overcrowded closed room to get into the elevator!

I mean, this is insane. We spent almost 2 hours in lines total to watch the 30 min view from the overcrowded rooftop. This is totally not worth 1000+ baht they are asking and it wouldn't be worth it even if the ticket was free of charge. This is a really bad choice for an evening date, I insist you shouldn't go there unless you want to ruin...

Tldr: Put simply, you are paying for the view and the cool glass panel. The drinks and music (on Sun) is what I would expect from a tourist spot - aka not good at all.

Go once for the night view but will not be returning again thanks to the low quality food/drinks/music.

Overall service: the ground floor staff and the staff along the way up is great. Super polite/friendly and great. But once you get up there, the service is little to none as you need to grab your own seats and wait for your food at the bar area. There is no table numbers whatsoever. Its a free for all up there.

Dress code: You can wear a t-shirt up there so I was a bit overdressed and ticked off by their dress code.

Food/drink: drinks are watered down. Super watered down in fact that I thought I was having syrup water. Their food menu has only 3 items (pecan pie, cookie and custard) that night despite the online menu showing more than that.

Music: Let's just say they are better off not turning on the speakers. It was a weird noise with beats that were...
