Went here with my partner for a date night, but unfortunately, the experience didn’t quite live up to expectations.
The atmosphere felt a bit strange — especially the harsh lamp directly above our table. Instead of a cozy, romantic vibe, it felt more like we were sitting in an interrogation room. Definitely not what you’d want for a date.
Food-wise, we were let down. The seafood risotto was the worst I’ve had so far — it tasted more like a bowl of porridge with some Italian herbs sprinkled in than actual risotto. Considering that pasta is what this place is known for, we had higher hopes. At least the fettuccine al granchio was cooked al dente, but the sauce was too oily and overall the dish felt flat and forgettable.
The truffle pizza was just okay — edible, but not impressive. As for the tenderloin steak, we ordered it medium rare and it came out rare. Small detail, but disappointing given the price point.
Ironically, the highlight of our meal ended up being the cherry tomatoes that came as a side dish with the steak — fresh, flavorful, and honestly better than most of the mains.
Overall, for the price, the quality just isn’t there. Unless you’ve never had Italian food before, this probably won’t be worth your...
Read moreI joined a pasta-making course here and it was an absolutely delightful experience from start to finish. The class was fun, hands-on, and gave me the chance to learn how to make fresh pasta myself. After the course, I had the pleasure of enjoying dinner right at the restaurant.
I started by eating the aglio e olio I had just made in class, which was both simple and delicious — there’s something really special about tasting your own freshly made pasta right away. After that, I ordered a few dishes from the menu: burrata, beef tartare, carbonara, and the mussel aglio. Every single plate was outstanding.
The highlight here is clearly the fresh pasta — perfectly cooked, silky in texture, and paired beautifully with well-balanced sauces. The ingredients are top quality, and it shows in every bite. From the creamy burrata to the rich and comforting carbonara, everything exceeded my expectations.
The cozy atmosphere and warm service made the whole experience even better. Whether you’re looking to learn pasta-making or just to enjoy a wonderful Italian dinner, The Pasta Apartment Silom is definitely a spot worth visiting.

Warmly greeted by a charming and very stylish young Italian man, this quaint little restaurant was like stepping into a kitsch Italian home of the 60s! The delightful decor was homely and welcoming, as was our waiter who brought us Prosecco and authentic Italian bread with superb quality olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and sea salt. We started with a shared Margarita pizza topped with fresh basil, accompanied by dried oregano and chilli wine oil for the drizzling….
