Our food came at very different times - some of us had already eaten their food and were ready to leave while others were still waiting, hungry. One of our friends hasn't received their meal for over 1,5h, and when they did, it was a wrong order. No sorry, no complimentary service, nothing. So far, the worst service I have experienced in a long time. Apart from that, the portions were absolutely tiny, no one was full afterwards, even the starters AND the main dish. So for the amount of food, the prices were extremely high. And on top of that, when it came to paying, they didn't agree on any discount for the terrible service we got, and even made us pay more than necessary and twice dor the same dish! If not for some local friends who talked to them in Turkish, (because not only the waitresses but also the owner didn't speak a word of English), we would have been scammed. They don't know how to deal with dissatisfied customers at all. Absolutely not worth it,...
Read moreNakke Bistro is a GEM! It is located in a prime street minutes away from Galata tower, I found them to have one if the best menus I have seen in Istanbul during my three weeks of eating out daily. While I don’t eat meat they have a great selection of traditional dishes as well as an extensive vegan/vegetarian menu for myself fellow veggie lovers. While prices are great the atmosphere is the best part- there’s three levels not including the outside ground floor. I personally love the middle tier- they play great bluesy/jazz music and it’s just super cozy. The top is the rooftop which is really cute and picturesque. The service is amazing! Really warm, friendly people who speak English as well. Not to mention the wine pours are very generous for 45 TL. It’s a great place to work, relax, and most importantly eat. 10/10...

The place is very inviting especially given that it’s a family owned establishment. Our waitress, who was also the owner, graciously opened the door for us and seated us. She brought us the menu and took down our food order.
The food took a bit of time to come out. We got the Turkish manti (meat and vegetarian option) and the noodles tasted a bit undone. More worrying was the sauce. We both left with upset stomaches and can only attribute it to the sauce.
We truly wanted to love this place as the owner is welcoming and they offer a variety of options that accommodate to many patrons with dietary restrictions. However, given that we both left with upset stomachs is worrisome. Hopefully this was a...
