I had a really horrible experience here. I went in alone with my 10 year old child. The staff were a bit snobby, but I wasn't offended by it. Service was a bit slow to start with. We'd been waiting 27 minutes for our food to arrive. I knew the exact time, as I'd taken a picture of my son once we'd placed the order with the waiter. Who by the way, I asked for recommendations and he just gave me a funny look, I then asked the difference between the vaccine and the juicy as I wanted the burger with a syringe for my son, as he'd have been impressed. The waiter told me the difference was the vaccine contained extra cheese. I asked "what about the syringe" and he reported "WHAT?!" I felt a little embarrassed so, replied to him not to worry and thanked him for taking our order. Off he went. Anyway, fast forward 20 minutes, no food and two annoying men who came and sat on our table (table for 4). One of them began to play loud music on his phone, which he's allowed to do of course but it wasn't polite. My child and I were both 25 mins in absolutely starving and my son pointed out that 2 tables had already received their food although they ordered immediately after us. 30 mins in, I got up and said to my son to sit outside as the air con, my hunger and the man's loud music and smelly flatulence were not giving me the best of experiences. I asked my son if we could leave and he became a bit sad, as he wanted to eat here. So we went out, on our way out, a waiter began to stop us he said our food would be here soon and it was hot outside. I asked if we could just have the fries whilst we were waiting. The way he said no to me ... I have never. Ever.... ever! I can't lol. I can't even explain. He snapped at me and started waving his arms around shaking his head with vigor. It was insane. I no longer felt like a paying customer. Another 7 minutes past and my son was complaining of heat and thirst, so I gave him cash and told him to run to the shop next to us and grab a bottle of water for himself (reason being, they only sold Coca-Cola products in here, I'm not funding genocide) Anyway, he's back at on his chair, still no food. The "Manager" comes and grabs his bottle and tucks it under the table, he snaps - put this away under here you're not allowed to drink outside drinks here! I ignored him, I was beyond annoyed. I was no longer in a frame of mind/temperament where if I spoke, I'd be able to control what I'd say. Instead, I said excuse me, how much longer will our food take, we've been waiting for 40 minutes. That was it. That was my question. He looked at me and scowled, he pointed his finger at me and said "40 Mins, wait there" And stormed off. Side note: is that the way a manager would conduct himself, that too in a supposedly reputable renowned establishment. Correct me if I'm wrong but managers manage difficult situations, they don't exasperate them?! So I was now dreading him returning to 'prove me wrong' I didn't care which one of us was right at this point. I was far too hungry and my son looked like he was holding tears back from the situation that we found ourselves in. I felt so annoyed for bringing my child here. Dare I say it - without his Dad/A Male adult. This is my 7th visit to Turkey and I'm familiar with male misogyny here, but this was a whole new level. He came back and told me it had only been 22 minutes, as they have the time when the order is put on the system. Disregarding the fact that, the waiter had obviously put the order on 20 mins later perhaps forgotten, which to an extent is fine. It happens, had everything else that happened after not happened. Anyway, I then said to him please mind your tone I'm here alone with my child and you're aggression is making me feel uncomfortable. He told me to speak slowly. I then told him slower. And he laughed at me. I then repeatedly told him to eff off as I'd have to have the patience of a monk to persevere with his Appalling conduct anymore. My food then arrived 🤣 and he didn't let me eat told...

Read moreI recently visited Salt Bae and tried their smoked burger, and I have to say, it was the best burger I've ever had. The meat was perfectly cooked, with a smoky flavour that added a whole new dimension to the burger.
Firstly, the meat itself was of the highest quality. It was clearly freshly ground and formed into a perfectly-sized patty. The smoky flavor came from the fact that the burger had been cooked on a wood-fired grill, which added a unique and delicious flavor to the meat. The burger was also seasoned just right, with a perfect balance of salt and pepper.
The toppings were equally impressive. The cheese was expertly melted and added a creamy, indulgent element to the burger. The lettuce and tomato were fresh and crisp, which provided a nice contrast to the rich, meaty flavors of the burger. The bun was soft and fresh, which held everything together nicely without getting soggy.
In terms of service, the staff at Salt Bae were fantastic. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive, ensuring that we had everything we needed throughout the meal. The restaurant had a lively and energetic atmosphere, which added to the overall experience.
Overall, I can confidently say that the smoked burger at Salt Bae is the best burger I've ever had. While it is on the pricier side, I believe that the quality of the food, the attentive service and the energetic atmosphere are well worth it. If you're a burger lover, I highly recommend giving...
