Anatolia Fish and Kebab House 1945 — Restaurant in Fatih

The low rating is mainly due to the deceptive practice of restaurant manager and the pricing; the food was actually decent. I decided to dine there because I saw grilled fish on their menu and I was offered a free appetizer, which I assumed to be bread and olives. After ordering the grilled sea bream for my entree and a beer for drink, the bread, olives, and beer were bought to my table, followed by a shrimp and mushroom dish that I never ordered. So I talked to the manager because I thought they brought the wrong entree to my table; but he informed me that it was an appetizer that I somehow previously agreed on. Instead of sending the appetizer back, I decided to keep it even though I never ordered it. The shrimp appetizer didn't really have a lot of flavors, but to be fair, the grilled fish was quite good, very well-cooked with the crispy skin. When the check arrived, I noticed that the price of the appetizer (a few shrimps with sliced mushroom) was the same as the entree (a whole grilled fish with a small salad). My rating for this restaurant would have been a lot higher had they not misled me in getting an overpriced and tasteless appetizer. As for the pricing, the meal I described ended up being 2080 Turkish Liras (~60 USD). I had an amazing lunch at this restaurant, and I highly recommend it! The ambiance is cozy, and the food was absolutely delicious. I enjoyed a flavorful meal with freshly baked bread, hearty vegetables, and perfectly cooked meat. The tea was just right, and the dessert was the perfect sweet touch to end my meal.

A big shoutout to Zeki, who was my server. He was extremely friendly, welcoming, and made my experience even more special. Zeki even surprised me with complimentary tea and dessert, which was such a kind gesture. It’s rare to find such great hospitality!

A lovely gentleman invited us to dine and we accepted.

The restaurant was open with lots of heating and beautiful decorations. It was nice because it felt like you were outdoors; it was so lovely and cosy. The seating was comfortable too.

The waiters were SO kind and very attentive.

I came with my mother and they were so nice to her! She really enjoyed the experience and so did I.
