Ok firstly what a great place, located in the heart of Istanbul, it’s a stone throw away from Aya Sophia/Blue Mosque.

Service: very quick, very attentive and wonderfully polite, not overbearing as well.

Menu: One of the main attractions for this place is it has a very impressive and varied gluten-free menu. Unfortunately most places struggle with a concept of gluten free however this place not only has a specialist menu but really understands the requirements of a coeliac friendly diet. 10/10

Food: the Ezme was amazing(as evidence by the empty plate) I had lahmacun for starters, and fir mains the adana kebab, which was really nice. We ordered a veg pizza as well, which honestly was amazing(the dough was 10/10), even the chips(yes not very turkish) were great.

We finished off with some warm rich baklava and Turkish tea…we were all stuffed.

Price: Very good, given your right in the middle of the old city, prices tend to be quite high everywhere, but we sat and ate a wonderful meal and took our time having great conversation and great service, so the prices were pretty standard for the area, we had several free extras that they did not charge us for. 9/10.

We had a wonderful waiter called Ymr(Amir? the man with the beard in the last photo) who was really funny, and told us some great stories. Tbh all the waiters were great, but Ymr/Amr was the star.

Great place, would definitely...

Review:

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the enchanting Cafe Amedros in Istanbul with my dear friends Mohamed and Tom Cruise, and it was an experience to cherish forever. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and exceptional service that made us feel right at home.

The food at Cafe Amedros is nothing short of extraordinary. Just take a look at the picture of the food—it's a feast for the eyes and the taste buds! Each dish was crafted with care and bursting with flavor, leaving us in awe.

The prices are wonderfully reasonable, and you truly get an incredible bang for your buck. The selection of beers is impressive, and the complimentary mezes (starters) were a delightful and delicious surprise. The wings were perfectly seasoned, and the desserts were simply divine.

I cannot recommend Cafe Amedros enough. It’s a haven of culinary delight in the heart of Istanbul. You will never forget the beauty and joy of this experience. Make sure to visit—you won't be...

I recently dined at Amedros Cafe, and while the experience had its highlights, it was a bit of a mixed bag overall.

We ordered chicken and lamb shish, lamb kofta, and testi kebab. Unfortunately, the chicken and lamb shish were dry, and the lamb kofta had a strange taste that didn’t sit well with us. However, the testi kebab was the star of the meal—flavorful, tender, and prepared beautifully.

One major downside was the price based on the portion. The cost of the meal was as expensive as dining in London, which felt a bit steep considering the overall food quality.

That said, the service was absolutely outstanding. Mekin, our waiter, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for. His warm demeanor, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality elevated the entire experience. If I were rating the restaurant based solely on service, it would easily be five stars.

While the food didn’t quite meet my expectations, the excellent service from Mekin left a...
