Disgusting attitude, disrespectful, shameless owner or manager. No class or morals. Embarrassment to Turkish people whom I hold in high regards. Make sure to read the real reviews of this place and not those who were offered free tea and baklava. I never leave reviews but after my experience last night feel I have a duty to share my experience. 2nd night in Istanbul, amazing time until our visit to Karadeniz. Arrived at 5 maybe 10 minutes before 10pm, no earlier with my wife and 4 month old baby daughter. Usual kind of waiters outside trying get you to eat from their place. Rather quite the time we arrived with only another couple sitting, which was what we wanted. Sat down and given menu by one of the waiters who was already standing there over us waiting to take order having not even looked at the menu. Asked for 5 mins whilst we settled down with baby and looked at the menu. Called over waiter and ordered after a few minutes, no longer than 5 mins. Waited for food chatting away to the wife and playing with baby. Saw the couple who were sitting a few tables down being given what seems after reading the reviews the free tea and baklava. Food arrived about 10 past 10. Food about average, not bad but not that great either the way the reviews have been made out. But everyone has their own taste. A bit pricey but similar rates to other restaurants around the area. No more than 2-3 mins later having just started eating whilst holding baby at the same time who was a bit tired by this time, a chap pops over holding his phone and pointing at it. Didn’t realise what he was saying until the wife says I think he saying they closing soon. This was not one of the waiters who initially sat us down and took our order or who bought the food and drinks. This chap seemed more like the owner or manger and starts saying we are closing at 10:20. I said ok and said to the Mrs carry on and take your time. The chap appears again a minute or 2 before 10:20 whilst we are in the middle of our meal and appears with bill asking for payment of 1190 lira. At this point I told the chap that his behaviour was hugely disrespectful and that I will pay my bill once we had finished our meal. So he says ok (tamam) and they are closing and walks off. Seemed a bit of a unusual time for a place to close, 10:20. Checked Google and showed it closes at 11pm. By now the mood had changed due to such disrespect being shown in front of family and no regards to our baby who up until now was shown nothing but love by the Turkish people we met and fellow tourists. Wife felt the same and the appetite had gone. Got the money for the bill and left it under a ketchup bottle then stood up to gather our stuff and get the baby ready in her stroller. The chap comes over and collects the money at which point I could not hold myself back from telling him how I felt. I told the chap he was rude and disrespectful to my family and me. If they were closing 25 minutes after we arrived then they should have said instead of trying to get us to eat from their then trying to tell us to leave having barely touched our food. Also told him your advertised as closing at 11pm and to update his closing times. Though we maybe tourists we are your guests and to show a bit of respect as this was no way to treat your guests. We maybe visiting you and you maybe local but that their is no way Im letting you disrespect me and my family without letting you know how rude and classless you are and to learn some manners. He then tried apologising and said to come back tomorrow and will make it up to us at which point told him there was no way we were coming back to eat from there. Then he says tamam and walks off. Pathetic people. Most likely had a quite night for business and then try to treat their customers who do give them some business like dirt. Avoid unless you want to be treated by dirt by...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at KD Karadeniz Aile Pide and Kebap Salonu, and I wanted to share my experience.
From the moment I stepped inside, I was warmly welcomed by the staff. The atmosphere of the restaurant is cozy and inviting, making it a perfect place for a family dinner or a casual get-together with friends.
Now, let's talk about the food. I ordered the Karadeniz Pide and it was absolutely delicious. The flavors were rich and authentic, and the pide was baked to perfection. The kebabs were also a hit at our table, tender and full of flavor.
The service was top-notch. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu, which helped us make great choices. Our food arrived promptly, and our glasses were never empty.
What sets KD Karadeniz Aile Pide and Kebap Salonu apart is the genuine warmth and hospitality of the team. It's clear that they take pride in their food and the experience they provide to their customers.

Read moreTourist trap with awful service.
Firstly they don't close at 11pm, they close at 10pm, which they didn't mention at all when we entered just before 9pm. The food was a lot, but mostly volume over quality. The service was the worst part. They put us in their neighbouring restaurant of a different name and it was a coffee shop with no staff. They gave us plenty of bread (2 full basets). I appreciate the gesture, but really.. who's gonna eat that much?! When the food came, they did not mention closing times at all. As we started, they started to pack away things and making a lot of noise whilst we were still there. Towards the end, as I was finishing up my plate, they told me to hurry up (21:45) and then again at around 21:50. We paid the included service charge but I really regret it. Not once during the service did they mention closing at 10pm. Google says 11pm. Having looked at the other reviews, the 5 stars are bribed through free drinks or desserts. Not authentic reviews, stay away! Expensive tourist trap. More expensive than London! 1800+ Liras for a mixed kebab, salad and 2 teas. That's 50 euros... I can get much better service, food and atmosphere for cheaper...
