ANATOLİA FİSH & KEBAB HOUSE — Restaurant in Fatih

Despite the lovely and attentive staff, the food let the place down - spend your money elsewhere! The hummus was below average and had no effort in the presentation. The Adana kebab was ok, and so was the beef dish that we had, although it lacked much flavour. Both dishes came with a ‘sad excuse for’ chips - they were overcooked, floppy and oily. The lettuce that came with my dish was poorly washed, and still had some dirt and what looked like a tiny slug. Unfortunately this place was a real disappointment, especially considering the price was higher than average. I’m very surprised by the good reviews for this place because it’s been by far the worst place we’ve eaten at! The food has left us both feeling quite ‘icky’ unfortunately. Extremely recommended!Delightful experience at Fora Kebap House! 🤩It was so good that we decided to dine there two days in a row! (for sure we'll be back tomorrow too!! 😉)The food was all delicious: as you can see from the pics/vids we tasted several turkish dishes and none of them let us down! Even my daughter - who's a very picky eater - said they were excellent and "licked the plate clean"! 😋 Extra points because, compared to other places nearby, this restaurant has its own kitchen on site managed by a skilful chef!👨‍🍳The staff was very kind and attentive without ever being pushy and their service was great: they truly went above and beyond!💯👏 A big thank you to Mohammed and Abdurrahim 😊🇹🇷 p.s. One of the warmest and kindest service we’ve received in Istanbul. Ali was incredibly friendly and made good recommendations for food and sightseeing options. Overall, the food was fresh and tasty — we ordered Ottoman platter which gave us a variety of meat options from lamb chops and koftas, to beef skewers and chicken wings and skewers, rice, fries and bread. We ordered hummus on the side (equally delicious!) and they provided mezze platter for us on the house which was exceptional. Will definitely be returning and highly recommend for anyone looking to get a good taste of local cuisine!
