We went to this place and it looked like They are closing so we asked and They Said no They are Open. We ordered and in each of our meals there normally was rice included instead we got nothing just the meat with 2 pieces of lavash bread. When we asked They Said They dont have any rice anymore. That is something you Tell before especially when They are asking if They are closing cause it really looked liked it. They gave us a small bowl with old Fried potatoes. Our waiter was flirtend with some Girls at the next table instead of taking Care of us and when he Walked by i told him that he didnt tell us before that They dont have rice left. He just ignored me and walked inside. Instead of lowering the Price They put the normal Price on the bill! Worst Service and biggest spoof! For real Shame on you guys! The Food was tasty (2 Stars only for the Food) but in my opinion this place is way too overhyped! There are other nice places which have really good food and a much better Service! Won‘t...

We found this place spontaneously while walking around Eminönu. The restaurant had many customers at that time and since nobody tried to lure us in, we decided to eat our lunch there. We ordered a plate of mixed grilled meat and a lentil soup. The meals were traditional and very tasty. I particularly liked chicken and beef meatballs as they were perfectly seasoned. I shared the whole plate with my partner and our stomachs were still filled as the portion is quite large. The soup was also very tasty and served very quickly. The owner was very generous and gave us extra pitas on the side free of charge. If you are unsure which restaurant to choose from all the restaurants around, this one was established in 1960s's and I would be honest saying it's worth to visit. Very solid service and delicious food.

As it's located right next to a mosque, it's possible to occasionally encounter locals praying in this area and listen to prayers calls which gave us...

Doner is very good. Tender, soft, juicy. A bit unhygienic place. Very untidy in the shop. Lots of guys with no proper clothing/uniform. Too much traffic. Saw uncooked meat pieces on the garden area probably people feeding cats. A bit chaotic atmosphere. I am not fun off ikea type of restoran atmosphere. They feed you thats all no esthetics. Some table ware was chipped. Yet doner is good. Iskender was not that great. Portion was very small and no real butter taste (this is a must). Would I go again? NO, very touristic. Doner 8/10 Lavash 3/10 (amazing hard and very papery tekture) Toilet 3/10 Hygiene 2/10 Value for money 4/10 Atmosphere not amazing! Looks cheap Service cheap labour 2/10 Needs strategy and update

Overall very happy with the food, service, and the price was not dire like some spots we visited. To start off, unlike most places, the staff were not trying to drag you in off the street. They actually had civil manners. I had to walk up to them and ask them for a table which was a nice change in Istanbul. The doner was pretty fantastic. Cooked perfectly and sliced thin. They cut their doner square which seems to make so much sense for sheer accuracy. Pricing by grams was refreshing. Seems very open and honest with prices. Only thing I could fault them for was location, but that's purely because Im not a fan of the bustling market vibe to eat my dinner.
