Pak Pide Pizza Salonu — Restaurant in Fatih

This is a hidden gem on the narrow streets close tot he Grand Bazaar. I know, you'll say that almost all restaurants in Istanbul serve pide. Well they do, but there is pide and there is PAK Pide. First of all, they are making the pide on the spot, live in front of the customer. I have been there 3 times in one week and every time the food is prepared on the spot and in front of the customer as the kitchen is open and you can see the entire pide making process from a to z. Also, another important thing is the oven running on wood. Not gas or electric, but straight, traditional wood oven. So, for a small amount of money, you get a finger-licking, fresh out of the oven pide plus great hospitality. Please don't get fooled by the looks of the location. Stumbled across this place a few days ago by accident, but had already eaten so today we returned. It is a very efficient place doing lots of carryout and dine in. The Pide was made right there in front of you. Loved the open kitchen and the fact the oven was wood burning, which gives it a unique flavor. The menu has several different styles, and do not forget you can add eggs. The cost is great just $7 for 3 Pides and 2 drinks.

Tucked away and fairly unassuming from the outside, we decided we had to try Pak Pide due to the superb reviews.

What we found was unequivocally the best pide spot in Istanbul. Made right in front of you with a traditional method, by some of the friendliest people I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. The Pide with feta was simply perfection itself. It is also the best priced Pide I found, and after finishing our first, we quickly ordered two more for takeaway.

I have never found myself so impressed by a lunch spot so quickly.
