Discovering this gem nestled in Sultanahmet was an absolute delight! From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted by the warmest atmosphere and the friendliest staff imaginable. The cafe exudes a laid-back vibe that instantly puts you at ease, and the cozy ambiance only adds to its charm, especially when basking in the morning sun.
But what truly sets this place apart is the owner, who goes above and beyond to ensure every guest feels welcomed and valued. Their personalized tips added an extra layer of enjoyment to our visit, making it feel like we were in the hands of a trusted friend.
Now, let's talk about the breakfast – it was an experience fit for royalty! Indulging in their Turkish Breakfast felt like a feast fit for a Sultan, with generous portions and flavors that left our taste buds dancing with joy. And the best part? Despite the lavish spread, the prices remained refreshingly reasonable, unlike some other spots in Sultanahmet. Trust me, this cafe is a rare find that combines top-notch quality with affordability. A must-visit for anyone...
Read moreMay be we came in a wrong time but I was hugely disappointed by my experience here. Coffee wasn't good at all - we had americano and cappuccino and they were were watered down, almost tasteless, Croissants didn't taste fresh, potato salad was good though. But the worst thing was the service - in the middle of our breakfast, big lady from the kitchen showed up, grabbed out bread basket and tried to take it away though we still had food on our plates! I understand there were people waiting for the seats - but we just came and just started our meals! Overall our stay there was around 15-20 mins, including food waiting time, as we tried to finish as fast as we can as that lady was storming out to take any plate she considered to be empty without asking us if she can do it - may be we need to keep it to share food, but no, she just grabbed it and did it couple of times, clearly indicating we must go. So may be it is a wonderful place to visit with right people serving you but unfortunately...
Read moreI didn’t even come here on purpose! I was hopelessly lost in the winding hilled roads of Istanbul near Küçük Ayasofya, trying to make it back to the apartment we were renting, and working with no roaming and very little Turkish in my vocabulary. I happened upon this delightful cafe, ordered some food to go, and managed to communicate the fact that I was lost. The owner got me onto their wifi, asked me to show him where I was staying on a map, then proceeded to tell me he lived just a few doors away and insisted on walking me there while carrying my order — including five Turkish coffees — straight to our door to be sure I got there safely. Plus, he refused to accept a tip when offered. And to top it all off, the food was wonderful! I wish I’d had the time to stop by for a more indulgent visit and enjoy more food and this incredibly charming atmosphere, but please do so in my stead until I can make my way back across the...
