We came to this place on the recommendation from the video and the view from the highest terrace is very good. We arrived just in time for sunset. I checked below if there was tea or coffee on the menu, because it was getting cold outside - I wanted to warm up with hot drinks. The waiter or cafe administrator strictly specified that there was no tea and coffee, you could only have dinner here. When we went upstairs, the view from the terrace amazed us - it was very beautiful. After reviewing the menu (the menu is very large, good choice, and a lot of fish dishes, which you will not often see). When ordering dishes, and specifying the positions of desserts and drinks, the waiter again emphasized in an annoyed voice that you need to order the main dishes, which once again made us feel awkward, embarrassed and depressed. tea was brought to us (even before the dishes were served), while the waiter was dissatisfied and annoyed, we did not have enough calmness and cordiality from the owners of this beautiful establishment. (We ordered a salad, a main course with chicken, dessert and ice cream for four, everyone ordered what they wanted, and I think it's normal practice to order what is on the menu). When we ate our dishes and wanted to order more dessert and hot drinks, the waiter took our order, but a minute later he came up to us and in an annoyed voice asked us to leave this table (one of the most beautiful tables with a good view on the terrace), and change seats for another. We were upset because we liked our table and we were not warned that after a while we would have to leave this place without warning. it was said harshly, and we were grieved by it. Having decided not to eat anything else here, we paid and decided to leave this place. I repeat, the cuisine here is good, the atmosphere is also pleasant. The views of the city and the sea are magnificent. But the attitude towards their guests is very disrespectful. (!) In this case, you could enter a deposit for the minimum order, and not confuse your guests and not upset...
Read moreI recently visited this restaurant after being drawn in by its appealing website showcasing a diverse menu at local prices. However, upon arrival, my experience took a disappointing turn as I was handed a menu with significantly inflated tourist prices. This blatant false advertisement set the tone for a frustrating dining experience.
To make matters worse, the restaurant staff insisted that our group of six purchase multiple items, even though we had intended to share. This pushiness felt manipulative and left a sour taste in our mouths before we even took a bite.
We decided to order the breakfast platter, hoping for a satisfying meal to justify the steep prices. However, what arrived at our table was a collection of pre-packaged foods hastily arranged on plates. The lack of anything substantial or freshly prepared was a major letdown, especially considering the exorbitant cost of nearly £100 for the whole group.
Adding insult to injury, the restaurant touts a supposed view of the Blue Mosque on its website, which turned out to be yet another fabrication. This false advertising only further detracted from the overall experience and left us feeling misled and disappointed.
In conclusion, I strongly advise others to steer clear of this establishment. The deceptive pricing tactics, subpar food quality, and misleading claims regarding the view make it a poor choice for dining. Save your money and seek out more honest and authentic dining options elsewhere.
Edit after comment: they did not give us the option to order other food items. One person in the group wanted the full breakfast and others wanted normal dishes but they did not allow this. Also please look at other local breakfast places who offer better breakfast with the view for a fraction...
Read moreOur experience at the terrace café was disappointing. I would strongly advise against visiting this establishment, unless you want to get scammed. Firstly, the prices did not match those shown in some of the pictures you find on the internet. We were a group of four and intended to order the Turkish breakfast set for two and share it among us, as it appeared to be a substantial amount of food. However, we were informed that this was not allowed, and we were required to order for four people. The price for the breakfast set was 1000 lira for two people, totaling 2000 lira for four.
The food itself was unremarkable. It was bland and lacked flavor. The shakshuka was watery, and the entire breakfast set consisted of very basic, inexpensive items such as olives, tomatoes, cucumber, yogurt, and honey. Additionally, when the bill arrived, a 250 lira service fee was added, which had not been mentioned anywhere.
The only positive aspect of our visit was the beautiful view. Otherwise, the experience felt like a tourist scam.
After posting our review, the restaurant contacted us almost immediately and pressured us to remove it. We explained that it is the customer's right to leave a review based on their experience. When we refused to delete the review, the caller insulted us by calling us racist terms and then hung up. This behavior is highly unprofessional and does not reflect a business that values its customers'...
