The atmosphere is extremely dark. The food was excellent, we had to send both pasta dishes back to get them warmed up. But they both came nice and hot. So just a minor issue there. They put more wood on the chimney and it was a nice ambience. The bad experience started when the bill came. We ordered and pointed to the starter page, we read the whole sentence as it was described on the menu(Luckily). We were given the prawns and then ate them. As they were nice we ordered another one. When the bill came up they charged us for the king prawns a dish that is more than double the price. He was arguing that we ordered prawns and the starter says shrimp and once we asked the menu we could see that it was written PRAWNS! Exactly what we ordered. He argued that that was the dish that we got served. That we should have known that it was a different one. It felt like the right scam. After arguing and showing him that we read and point the right dish, he admitted that he thought we meant the "Expensive" one. He accused us that we didn't realize that the ingredients were different, it doesn't make sense, as a customer, after ordering specially with a menu with no pics that we should know the difference. Luckily we pointed and read the full description of the dish to the waiter and there was no argument possible. He agreed to charge us the starter price at the end, but it truly ruined the experience. We were the only table in the whole restaurant. May be we should have read the signs. The food was great but we felt that they were trying to scam us at the end. It ruined our experience. I would not recommend...
Read moreI recently visited this open buffet restaurant situated in a mansion's courtyard, and unfortunately, the experience was quite mediocre. The main drawback was the limited variety of main course options available. The buffet spread lacked the diversity and abundance expected from such a venue.
The setting, in the mansion's courtyard with a small pool, had potential for a charming ambiance.
The food, while not terrible, didn't stand much. It left much to be desired in terms of taste and creativity in culinary offerings. But for this cheap price, you shouldn’t be expecting a top-notch quality.
Meze options were abundant and pretty delicious, to be honest. However, the dessert options were very limited and not very tasty. I only liked the rice pudding. Baklavas are not recommended.
The staff were friendly but somewhat disorganized, which affected the overall service. You just pick your food and get your plate by yourself.
It was a fixed-price menu. It was pretty reasonable for this much food with mediocre quality.
Overall score 4/5 for an Open...
Read moreThe atmosphere in here is quite pleasant and the staff try their best to be helpful, but that's where the good things about this place end. I visited around 5pm, so only à la carte dishes were available. I ordered lentil soup and grilled salmon. The soup was ok, but nothing beyond that. The bread that came with it was stale. The salmon was of very poor quality, undercooked and very fatty. The accompanying vegetables were fried using a lot of oil and way too much salt - perhaps to offset the lack of salt on the salmon. I tried ordering extra grilled potatoes as a side, but received a portion of chips instead. I think this was a consequence of a language barrier, so I can't complain, not knowing any Turkish myself. To sum up, if I knew what kind of food would be served here before coming I would definitely look for a different place to...
