Mekan Avicenna — Restaurant in Muratpaşa

Me and my wide stayed here for a few days and we brought my father too. My father has never travelled before so coming to Antalya was a huge deal for him.

I can safely say I never expected him to be this happy and fulfilled in a place with such a different cultural background. One of the evenings there was a live group with a lady singing and the performance along with the atmosphere were both truly amazing!

Another wonderful thing here are the breakfasts. The spread covers absolutely everything you can ask for and it’s not heavy on the stomach at all. It’s fresh, vibrant and extremely tastey.

The staff are extremely friendly and do everything to help/accommodate you. Worth mentioning is also that Șerif, who runs the breakfasts, is one of the most polite and kindest people we’ve ever come across!

We went to eat dinner with 8 people. We got seated and had to wait to order drinks and food. We didn’t get any bread to start with and drinks came late. 6/8 people got their food after 25 minutes waiting after ordening the other 2 50 minutes after ordering for just 2 burgers. We went to go ask for the manager but non of the workers speak English at all or just the basics. After we spoke to the manager he tried to give us free fruit of dessert but we didn’t want that so he said to talk to us later we waited another 20 minutes. We could not finish more than half the platter and the serving staff refused to pack it up to take home with us. The servers were outright rude when asked for this. Ultimately had to waste half a platter of cheese which probably went to trash I am guessing. Extremely stupid.

Good place for a couple of bites and a few drinks. They have live music and servers vibing with the musicians which made for a great atmosphere.
