Let me start by saying this: it’s worth going to Antalya just to stay at Belmondo. Look, I’ve been to many incredible hotels around the world, including several award-winning ones. That’s why I can confidently say that Belmondo is operating at an exceptionally high level, comparable to the very best.||It’s a boutique hotel where every detail is carefully thought through and executed with impeccable taste. The scent throughout the hotel is delightful, the air conditioning works perfectly, and the design of the furniture, the finishes in the bathrooms, bedrooms, and common areas—everything is a feast for the eyes. The bed is excellent, the sheets spotless, and the towels just as flawless.||The service is very good, with special mention to the General Manager, Ibrahim, who is extraordinarily efficient and extremely polite. Also worth mentioning are the kindness and friendliness of Kubra and Elçin.||Some areas could be improved: for one, the hotel should be more transparent about the fact that there are two buildings, and rooms are allocated between them depending on the category. I started my stay in a Deluxe unit, which was fantastic, but located in the building that houses their Italian restaurant. That building is more exposed to the street, and consequently, quite noisy.||The breakfast and pool, however, are in the other building, about 150 meters away, requiring a short walk along the street. I spent my final night in that building, in a Deluxe Suite (they charged €15 for the upgrade, which I found a bit petty). The room was also fantastic—and silent—which greatly improved my sleep quality, something essential for me.||Another area the hotel could improve is the shower facilities offered for guests needing to freshen up before heading to the airport when a late check-out isn’t possible. The current setup is a basic poolside shower, with only cold water, no comfort, and no privacy—you have to step outside to reach the small cubicle to change. I believe it would be well worth investing in better facilities for this purpose, as many guests likely have evening flights and would enjoy using the beach or pool before departure. (In our case, the lovely Ibrahim arranged a room for us to shower, but this always depends on availability.)||The hotel could also benefit from offering a more complete poolside menu, including snacks like burgers, or even allowing guests to order from the Italian restaurant’s menu—which would match the relaxed vibe much better.||And one thing that urgently needs to change: the pool’s operating hours. It’s hard to understand why it closes at 6 PM, just when guests are still enjoying the sun, relaxing, chatting, and ordering drinks. Here’s how it works: a staff member comes around and gives a general announcement that the pool will close in 15 minutes for cleaning. It doesn’t make any sense. They could easily extend the hours to at least 7 PM or 7:30 PM.||All in all, I would absolutely return—and I hope these points can be addressed to make the hotel even...
Read moreAn important thing for anyone reading is that this is two separate buildings ~60m away from each other. One is the main hotel with main reception, rooms, and the pool, the other is mainly their restaurant (Belforno) and maybe a dozen rooms.||That being said this was a very nice hotel compared to many we looked at and passed in Antalya, the old town is amazing. Bear in mind taxis can go one some roads in the old town but not right outside the hotel.||Due to the separate buildings I did not have chance to use the pool or any of the hotel's facilities, I was unsure of facilities in the other building and whether I would be able to change there.||The restaurant (and food) looked really nice, but a little on the expensive side so I didn't eat there. The room was very close to it and could hear noise/music until late. In addition the restaurant/bar across the road played live music quite loudly until midnight one night, and people shouting/arguing outside it carried on for some time after it closed. I gather the other building is quieter but have no personal experience of this.||I was not enthused by having to walk through a restaurant to get to my room, it felt quite odd weaving around people eating. The reception for this building also opens onto the restaurant area and we did wait in it for a while until a staff member came.||Aside from the noise the room was very nice, the bathroom looked recently refurbished and the aircon was easy to use.||I was awakened at 3am one night by a very odd sound from the bathroom, it turned out to be the drain which had popped up and was rattling the metal cover. There was some plastic contraption like you'd see in a shower drain, but it had popped open and an awful sewage smell was filling the bathroom. Covering this with a wet towel mostly stopped the smell and rattling.||Overall I was quite pleased with the hotel, I think staying in the other building might have removed any...
Read moreWe stayed at Belmondo Suites Antalya as a family with three young children, and unfortunately our experience was extremely disappointing.
First, the rooms are very noisy, with loud music playing until midnight every night. Even after being moved to another room, the problem continued, making it impossible for our children (or us as parents) to sleep or rest properly.
Second, the hotel demanded additional charges that were never mentioned at booking or check-in. We had already declared our children before the stay (and two cots were placed in our room), yet the hotel insisted on charging extra for one child. They even refused to move us to a quieter room until payment was made, which felt coercive and unfair.
Third, this is not a child-friendly hotel. At breakfast, no juice was offered for children at all—what are they meant to drink, coffee? For a family hotel this is unacceptable.
Finally, the behaviour of one front-of-house sales manager was aggressive and unprofessional. In front of my children, he pointed his finger at me, incorrectly argued about my son’s age, told me I “must pay more because we complained,” and even slammed his fist on the desk. This was extremely distressing and unacceptable in a hospitality environment.
To be fair, most of the staff (check-in, breakfast team, cleaners, general manager) were friendly, polite, and helpful. Unfortunately, the actions of a single senior staff member, combined with the noise and unfair charges, ruined what could have been a good stay.
If you are a family looking for rest and comfort, I cannot recommend this hotel. At minimum, the management should be honest that the location is noisy and unsuitable for children, rather than pushing extra charges and failing to cater to basic...
