Great service with great food!!! Went for dinner after seeing it online and it was a small quite hidden place and when we went in there were no customers as it was a bit late on a weekday but the older gentleman serving us seated us in a private seating area and he explained everything on the menu with detail and was very attentive! Though the menu seemed limited at first, all the items we ordered were all authentic and tasty. He explained that its his partners business and he comes to help out in the evenings. He was very friendly and made us feel welcomed and we had a great time exchanging jokes and getting to know his background too!! I believe he said that the food was a fusion of Ugyŭr and Eastern European cuisine. We especially loved the rice dish with beef which we ordered twice, and the beef (only beef not the mixed) steamed dumplings (may be called Manti) and it is a good portion as you get 5 large pieces. All the food he recommended were great! He brought out a honey cake as dessert which was so light and perfectly sweet, which was a nice end to the meal. He was very proactive and always attending to us with anything we needed including refilling the spicy sauce and drinks. The price range was reasonable especially considering how overpriced good food places in Turkey (tourist areas) have become over the last couple of years). Overall I definitely recommend giving this place a try as it isn't in the central busy area and its a great small business to support. I'm glad to have had the last meal in Antalya here! Hoping to come back soon to try something...
Read moreDelicious food. We ordered the lagman noodles, veggie mantis, green tea and the honey cake.
The lagman noodles are on the saucy side and didn't have that spicy kick that some other places do. They do provide a chilli paste on the side. Noodles are very oily though. Portion is ok, gone in a couple of bites.
The veggie mantis were tasty. They come with the right amount of yoghurt sauce so it doesn't become too heavy.
The green tea was so tasty! Not your standard green tea. They put some lemon and orange pieces in here which give it a nice fragrance.
The honey cake is actually delicious. It is not too sweet. Pricy for the portion (200 lek for a slice- 4 euro) however very nice to try if you haven't ever tried it before.
Friendly owner. Can...
Read moreWent to this quaint and cozy cafe with my fiancé on October 2nd and had a wonderful time! The owner is really passionate about Central Asian cuisine and took his time to describe all the dishes to us.
We got lagman for me and borscht for my companion, as well as some mantı and samsa to share. Food was made with fresh ingredients and everything tasted great!
Finished our dinner with two pieces of medovik and some really mellow green tea. We enjoyed all the dishes, especially the cake, as it had such a light texture.
My fiancé has never tried Central Asian or Russian dishes before and was pleasantly surprised by it, so I'm happy that we went to Aybüke Hatun. It was such a memorable evening...
