I rarely take the time to review hotels, but given my negative experience at this particular place I feel like I should provide some feedback to help other potential guests make an informed decision about their booking.
Firstly, I'm not exactly sure what is going on with the reception area of this hotel but the front desk is currently being operated through the open french doors of an unoccupied hotel room. This means that guests are forced to stand outside in the cold (or rain) when checking-in.
Upon arriving at my room I went to use to the WiFi, but both my phone and computer were unable to connect. I went back to the reception and the staff setup my device at the counter. As I returned to my room the signal dropped out and I was left with no internet. When I approached the staff again and they told me the room was out of range and that I was welcome to sit near the reception to use the WiFi (outside in the cold).
The quality of my room was poor to say the least. It was very tacky and outdated and there was a distinct musky smell to it. Nevertheless, given the fact that I had arrived late to Antalya, I decided to put up with these inconveniences and stay the night.
The next day it rained very heavy while I was sightseeing in the city. Upon arriving back to the hotel, I was told by reception staff that my ground-floor room had been flooded in the downpour (which really didn't surprise me given the severity of the weather). Reception staff offered to move me upstairs which seemed like a nice gesture until I arrived at the new room and saw that it was significantly less spacious and featured a smaller bed. I also noticed that none of the windows in the room were lockable and that they could easily be opened from the outside balcony - When I told the staff that the room didn't meet my security expectations, they told me that I could move back to the 'flooded room' if I wanted.
After reinforcing my disappointment with the hotel service, the reception staff finally agreed to relocate me to a more secure room. However it still wasn't ideal. It was very musky and sheets on the bed were unclean.
I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. Please think twice about staying at this place.. There is nothing...
Read moreVery poor. Had a very bad experience at the Elegence East Hotel, Antalya. We arrived on 14th July, 2022 around 8pm after a long day of touring and travel. Antalya region is very hot during that time, around 34 degrees and extreme humidity.
They gave us a room where the AC was not working, they said wait for it to cool. We left for dinner and came back and the AC in that room was still not working. It was very suffocating to stay in there. We called the receptionist and asked to change the room. They were fully booked so they just decided to hand us over a fan without even coming and checking the room.
We went to reception, the manager was so rude to us, he firstly denied to come and even check the room. Here’s what he said - I know my rooms, AC is perfectly fine take the fan and sleep. We said we paid the price for the double room with a working AC. To which he replied DONT TALK ABOUT MONEY YOU PAID, your money is not good here, you don’t own the hotel.
Basically the entire hotel has very poorly trained staff, the hotel has a really fake facade : big chandeliers and furniture, but the rooms are not operational when it comes to Cooling or hot water supply.
After our complaint, next day one lady at the reception accepted that the ac was not working and shifted us to another room, DO YOU PAY 3000 lira FOR A NIGHT TO SLEEP UNDER A FAN??
The surprising part was, their reception is extremely cold and has great ventilation, when the staff cannot sit without proper cooling how do they expect us to sleep without any...
Read moreWe recently spent a week at Elegance Hotel, and unfortunately, it was a terrible experience. The air conditioning was positioned directly above our heads, blowing cold air on us constantly, which resulted in both of us getting sick with severe coughs. This might have been bearable if we could have opened the window for some fresh air, but unfortunately, our window faced a generator that made a constant noise. It was impossible to open the window without being overwhelmed by the sound.
The rooms were worn out, dirty, and absolutely nothing like the pictures we saw before our arrival. The towels, which were supposed to be clean, were disgusting and seemed as if they hadn’t been properly washed. When we pointed out the issues, we were offered another room in the basement, but it smelled of mold and was in no way an improvement.
As if that wasn’t enough, the breakfast was terrible. It was tasteless and completely lacked freshness and quality. There was nothing on the breakfast table that met even the basic standards one would expect from a budget hotel.
To top it all off, the staff was incredibly arrogant and indifferent to our situation. We brought the numerous problems to their attention multiple times, but no help was offered. We truly feel that we wasted our money on this stay. The photos of the hotel are heavily manipulated, and it is in no way a place we recommend. Do not waste...
