First of all, if you are considering staying here and checking the reviews, keep in mind that they offer a 10% discount in exchange for a high-rated review, so decide for yourself about its objectivity. If you don't want to be shouted at and insulted by a housekeeping staff member early in the morning, don't stay here!||I checked into the hotel on August 15th. I would like to thank the reservation and reception staff who handled my check-in process; they made everything easy for me, and the person who helped me during check-out was also quite friendly.||However, on the morning of August 16th, I was awakened by loud music. The housekeeping staff had turned the music up to full volume on her phone, placed it in front of my door, and was cleaning a room at the end of the corridor. My friend had arrived at the hotel at 4 AM, and we wanted to rest. When I warned her, she began shouting at me rudely, saying things like, "You can't tell me what music to listen to, who do you think you are, I don't have to ask you what to do, it's too late to be sleeping." She aggressively scolded me in front of my friend. Even after I closed the door and went back to my room, she continued to insult and shout at me. I have stayed in and worked at many hotels, and I am still working in this industry, so I know the procedures very well. This behavior is completely unacceptable. I did not pay for a staff member to shout at and scold me in the morning. I went to the reception to speak with a manager, but there was none. Only the receptionist listened to me, but nothing was done. No one apologized for this gross disrespect or followed up with me. I will never stay here again, and I will not recommend this place to anyone. It was the worst accommodation experience I've ever had. Additionally, when I entered the room, the floor was so dirty that I had to go out and buy a cloth to clean it myself, and there were no slippers in the room. I booked a private room, but there was a stranger sitting on my...

Read moreMy first hostel experience ever. As a fancy traveler, i kinda liked it because i did have a private room. But i was expecting a more welcoming group. Some of the folks who i think live there do organize little tours like going to the local market that sells oranges. I dont know what else they organize, since the girl who organizes them never responded to Hi or bye in person. They also have this whatsapp groupchat with almost 600 people in it, but i got out of there too since no one ever responded to my questions. A guest stated that the group is more friendly if you look western and i half way agree. Yet again all that didnt really faze me since i didnt fly all the way from Switzerland to go to a local market and buy oranges with strangers. Back to the Hostel. The turkish staff that was actually hired (again, i think) were super friendly and helpfull. Especially the cleaning lady was super friendly and had always time for a small chat. (I am so sad, i forgot to leave her tip) My room was comfortable, AC was working great and the bed was very comfortable. I did have a non smokers balcony. The hostel is very central placed. I did have couple issues, like warm water. First time i took a shower, it took couple minutes for warm water to arrive and the next day there was no warm water. At some point there was no water at all but that wasnt hostels fault. Btw that is a one cheap toilet paper. That paper was so thin you could see right through it. Also there is no elevator but the guy that checked me in (who was also turkish and super friendly) carried my bags upstairs. Would i recommend the Hostel? To those who are into hostels, yes most definetly. Will i go back? Probably not just simply because of the...
