UNFILTERED REVIEW FROM A REGULAR CUSTOMER FOR DINE-IN 💯
(1) We ordered 8:30PM and food was delivered 10:30PM. ❌❌❌❌❌ Very Late delivery and is Unacceptable.
• We paid delivery fee of 10dhs since we lived in Reem Island and it is okay; but to receive COLD FOOD that is supposed to be hot or warm at least and HOT FOOD that supposed to be cold is very disappointing. 😖
(2) Lomi is very watery and doesn't taste like it. 1st time to try this and will never order this again. 🙅🏻♀️
(3) Cashier punched Additional Tapsilog and Halo-halo, to avoid argument and cash deduction from the cashier, we just opted to pay for it as well. That is an additional 36 AED in our total bill.
• We ordered Chicken Skin, Chicken Lomi, Goto and 1 Halo-halo.
(4) We reported that the Goto we received has a foul smell already and reported it asap just in case the one who tasted it encounter any issues or food poisoning. ☠️🤢🤮
• We never said that the Goto was not freshly prepared which the Whatsapp Handler is insisting. We just think that since it took an hour from the time they released the food to the time it was actually delivered, food may have gone bad.
• In fairness to them, they offered a food replacement (just for the Goto), but who would want to eat the same Goto and wait for another 2hrs. 🧐🧐🧐🧐
And as mentioned, we are regular customers for dine-in here but we didn't see the reviews about their delivery.
As much as we would like to support Ate's Restaurant, we stand beside our review for deliveries.
We do, however, recommend them...
Read moreLooks can really deceive...from the outside,it looks like a typical budget Filipino eatery but the taste and specially the plating is as par or even better than those in fine dining restaurants! I love the tortang talong! It is very different from the normal torta as it is breaded and topped with slices of tomato, cucmber and onions. It looked more of a gourmet torta ;)Certainly a must try! Their sinigang was also good! You should also try any of their appetizers. We had isaw( chicken intestine )and it was so good! Their lumpia however was a bit off for us but the garlic rice was good. The staff suggested for us to try their halohalo but unfortunately we are already too full as their servings are quite big!
Prices are also so affordable!
The place is so small and located in a hidden but always busy area at the back of the old El Dorado Cinema.Still it can easily be reached.Overall, the place is clean and the interior was cool. Not too fancy but still cool.Their staffs are also commendable. They have this welcoming and relaxing feel .The only downside is that they only have a few tables available for dining.
We will certainly come back and try the other dishes and will make sure to have some space for their halohalo.
Should you want to try some delicious homestyle Filipino food, this is one of the best...
Read moreI used to love this restaurant and even recommended it to some of my friends because of the variety of delicious Filipino food they offer. Unfortunately, my recent experience with one of their staff completely changed my impression.
When I inquired about delivery, a staff member named Cha (not sure of the spelling) replied: “Meron naman po basta willing to wait” (“Yes, we have delivery as long as you’re willing to wait”). The tone came across as unwelcoming and lacking manners. Still, I confirmed and said, “Yes, and please let me know once you are ready for the new orders to deliver.” She agreed, but no one ever followed up. After almost three hours, I still didn’t receive a call or message.
No matter how great your food is, if customer service is poor, guests will not return. Good manners, etiquette, and professionalism are just as important as the food you serve.
To the owner: please check your team and train them properly on how to communicate with customers, whether through WhatsApp or phone calls. Customer service can make or break...
