Dragon Bao Bao Restaurant龙包包中餐 — Restaurant in Abu Dhabi

Although I’m not typically a fan of Chinese cuisine, I decided to give this restaurant a try—and I’m glad I did.

The place is quite small, with only seven dining tables, which makes it less ideal for large gatherings. However, what it lacks in size, it certainly makes up for in flavor. The dishes served here offer a unique taste that I haven’t experienced elsewhere, setting it apart from other Chinese restaurants I’ve tried.

In fact, if I were to compare it with Din Tai Fung, I would choose this one without hesitation. Their bao bao, in particular, was one of the best I’ve ever had—flavorful, fresh, and perfectly prepared. Every dish I ordered exceeded my expectations, and I left feeling genuinely satisfied.

The staff were also worth mentioning—they were friendly, attentive, and efficient, which contributed to the overall positive dining experience.

Dragon Bao Bao is arguably my favourite place on earth. The food is so incredible every moment I am not eating it I’m thinking about it. The vegetable bao and the spicy potatoes are divine and their chili oil is out of this world. I live in Dubai and it has been torture not being able to go as often. No one and no where does it like Dragon Bao Bao - it is a safe haven for me and if I could go every single day I would. I have been going since 2021 and if they were to ever close I don’t know what I would do with myself. Looking forward to my next visit !

I couldn’t stay away - we drove from Dubai to Abu Dhabi to visit again today and it was as perfect as ever. We had the veg bao, dumplings and tofu skin salad and I ascended eating it. The food there brings me a sense of joy unlike anything else. So glad to have been back and already looking forward to...

A place for cheap but definitely nice dimsum!! We personally loved the baobao. You can really say that it was freshly made.The fried rice was also good. The mixed vegetables was also nicely done. The serving size is good for up to 3 persons...unless super hungry, maybe only up to 2 ;) Nevertheless, you will enjoy and satisfy you cravings for Chinese food.

I just find the place too small and considering how diverse their customers are, it easily gets full.We went there at a non peak time, and all the tables were already occupied.The food also took some time to be served, well I guess because they prepare as ordered which is also good.

The staff were accomodating and helpful if there are special requests on the order.

We will certainly come back and try the dumplings...
