This chinese restaurant used to be our favorite but not anymore. It's the worst experience ever. Kawloon restaurant tourist club Abu Dhabi. Hello to the staff who assisted us "Rhea" or "Rea", I'm not sure how to spell it correctly. Anyway, here's the story..
We are on table 16, it's very cold and my cousin asked the staff named Rhea to adjust it or turn it off (ofcourse! kidding aside) then she said that she can't do it, we are not the only customer (in a loud way)... (ofcourse! we are not stupid, my cousin was just teasing here). Okay, given she's busy and feed up because of the volume of customers but hey! it's not a reason also for her to answer that way and to be rude.
after 1 hour..
we still didn't receive our order.. fine we understood that it's really busy, then the staff named "Truce" (not sure how to spell it) he simply put the spoon and fork directly to the table without any tissue, and even the plate served by Rhea it was just given to us without setting it up, okay.. busy, rushing and all.. but for the spoon and fork it's not good to just simply put it like that.
Then, here comes the fried rice.. we clearly informed Truce that all food, "no prawns" because my cousin is allergic to it. When we received the rice, it has prawns. Okay, since we've waited long enough and we are super hungry we didn't complain and decided to order plain rice, but they served us another fried rice and said that the first one was wrongly served and the second one has no prawns. My cousin started eating the rice but after four spoons he noticed there's prawns in it. (ofcourse he didn't finished it). - for people that has allergy, staff must be mindful..
I saw on the other table that there's crispy beef (one of my favorite in this restaurant) I asked the staff Rhea if they have crispy beef (note: when Truce take our order, he said it's not available).. then Rhea said if we are sure (sounded like a question if we are sure to order, if we are sure, if we can afford to pay it) her tone of voice and choice of words really sounded rude.. (I was really mad the way she responded to us).. I was just asking, I didn't say that we're going to order or what not..
Lastly, there's a group of people on the other side of the table (not sure with the Nationality but arabic) they wanted to cancel all their order because it's taking so long.... (same staff Rhea) she's very kind to them with the tone on lower voice asking sorry (then in just 2minutes, their order was served). It gives an impression that if we Filipinos will make follow ups on our order, the staff will not mind us, but if other nationalities the service is different.
By the way, we are not rude with the staff even if she acted that way. We know it's a busy hour given it's valentines day, but it's not a reason to be rude with customers. Btw, we paid for the food that we ordered.. I just want to share our experience with the kind of service that other people might encounter also (I hope not).
Thank you Kawloon,...

One of the most affordable Asian restaurant in the capital. Being Asian myself, we always look for a resto that offers a familiar taste to taste buds.
Interior is quite outdated, but dont be discouraged as the staff are accommodating (they even played with my son), price is reasonable and food are good.
We ordered our favorite crispy beef, tom yum soup, crab balls with green veggies, kawloon fried rice, sizzling spare ribs and mixed steam dumplings.
Crispy beef is perfection. Crispy, tender and not oily. The reason why this plate is always emptied.
Tom yum soup is tasty. You can easily smell the lemon grass. Not that appealing as the chicken is finely sliced. Could have been better.
Kawloon fried rice is a repeat order as always.
Crab balls and mixed veggies is also a must-have. The veggies are crunchy and not overcooked.
The spare ribs are served sizzling (of course!). Tender and easily removed from the bones. The sauce is thick, a bit salty.
The mixed dumpling is also a must have, but wont fit as an appetizer as it is very heavy in the stomach 🤣 the size is doubled compared to the ones offering from other Asian resto.
Definitely will come back again to try other dishes. Should consider remodeling to suit the...

The chicken chops is one of our favorites.Their fried rice is also good. The crispy beef and soups are also highly recommended.
You may also ask to adjust the spicyness of food .
If coming with a big group, this is certainly a good choice as their servings are really good for sharing. The prices are also just right. Moreover, their staffs are consistently good and accomodating.
For takeaways or pickup, they are always on time and the food is always well...
